Super Food Samphire
The samphire arrived promptly well packed and in excellent condition. I use it in salads or lightly steamed. Either way it is delicious. With this delivery I am trying something different, wild fermentation. I love fermented foods and am excited to see how samphire turns out.I highly recommend this product as a tasty and healthy addition to any diet.

Get to know this - it's a delight!
I am so thrilled to have found a source of fresh samphire; I first met the vegetable in Dunkirk, around 20 years ago, and have craved it ever since. This product really is fresh, next day delivery in a pack designed to ensure both air and moisture. It is perfectly crisp and crunchy with a superb flavour - good enough to put straight into a sandwich.Despite my robbing the supply for sandwiches, there was enough here for meals-for-two on consecutive nights - simply blanched, refreshed and served with melted garlic butter the day it arrived, lightly stir-fried with chestnut mushrooms and noodles the next. There are so many possibilities. Samphire, and the other shore-line vegetables, are hardly known in British cuisine. This product should change that! I shall certainly be buying regularly, and exploring the supplier's other lines. At the risk of being boring, it's a great source of trace elements too.
