The pro/con is that the surface area is retangular. It helps that it has a lid to speed cooking, which could also be used to cook directly with some limitations. There is no carry handle for the lid. The surface is rather thin which is good for weight, but not great for cooking. This is really good size to store things within them, but the lid doesn't lock. Many people use elastic bands. やっぱり｢trangia｣でしょ。
100均をはじめ色んなメーカーから出てるが、やっぱりメスティンと言えば｢trangia｣でしょ。 蓋が開けにくいだとか... バリが有るとか... コーティングされてないだとか... そんな事は想定内。 メンテして使い込む事でこそのギア。

True mess tin
I'd order one before and didn't realize they made miniature mess tins, so I was pleased to find that this is the proper size that I was expecting. The quality is good. Nice and sturdy. Looking forward to using it with the mess tin accessories I ordered :D
