Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 Bluetooth Tracker (1 Pack), Compass View AR, Find Lost Mode, Black

I picked up the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 recently to help keep track of my keys, and overall, I’m pretty impressed. It’s a solid little device with a lot of useful features, but there are a few things that could be better. Here’s my breakdown after using it for a few weeks: Pros: Reliable Tracking: The SmartTag2 works really well for keeping track of my belongings. The Bluetooth connection is strong, and I’ve never had trouble locating my keys or bag using the Samsung SmartThings app. Battery Life: The battery life on this thing is pretty impressive. I’ve had it for a few weeks now, and I haven’t had to replace the battery yet, even with regular use. The battery seems to last a good while before it needs changing. Compact and Lightweight: It’s small and lightweight, so it’s easy to attach to almost anything. It’s not bulky like some other trackers I’ve seen, making it perfect for keys, bags, or even pets. Easy to Use: Pairing the SmartTag2 with my phone was super simple. The app is user-friendly, and I can easily see where my things are on a map. The proximity alerts are also helpful when I’m getting close to the item. Affordable Price: Considering the functionality and ease of use, the price is quite reasonable for what you’re getting. It’s definitely more affordable than some other high-end trackers on the market. Cons: Limited Range: The range on the SmartTag2 isn’t the best. While it works fine in most cases, if you’re in a large area, like a big house or outdoors, it can sometimes be harder to get an accurate location. It’s not a huge issue but something to keep in mind if you need longer-range tracking. No Built-in GPS: Unlike some higher-end trackers, the SmartTag2 relies on Bluetooth, meaning it doesn’t have a built-in GPS for tracking. This means it’s really useful when you're nearby but doesn’t help as much if you lose your items somewhere far away. No Speaker for Sound Alerts: I would’ve liked to see a built-in speaker for sound alerts. It does have a vibration feature, but it would’ve been nice to be able to make the tag beep or sound off when looking for it in a cluttered area. Overall: The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is a great little tracker that does exactly what it promises. It’s affordable, reliable, and easy to use, but it’s not perfect. Limited range and the lack of a GPS or sound alerts hold it back from being a perfect tracking solution. Still, it’s a solid option for those looking to keep track of smaller items like keys or bags.

This is the second Galaxy Smart Tag 2 that I have purchased. I was so impressed by the quality and performance of the first unit, I was encouraged to make further purchases. The tracker seems to have a better Bluetooth range than some of the other cheaper products on the market, so well worth the extra cost. It tracks on the map giving a total record where it came within range of another Samsung device.

Setup was straightforward via the SmartThings app, and the Bluetooth range is solid—especially indoors. The design is sleek and durable, and the battery life so far seems excellent. What I appreciate most is the integration with Samsung’s ecosystem. The “Search Nearby” feature is surprisingly accurate, and the audible ring is loud enough to hear even in a busy household. It’s also reassuring to know that if I misplace something further afield, the SmartTag2 can tap into Samsung’s Find network (though that depends on other Galaxy users being nearby). A couple of caveats: • It’s only fully functional with Samsung phones, so if you’re not in that ecosystem, it’s not ideal. • The location updates aren’t real-time unless you’re close by, so it’s more of a “last known location” tool than a live tracker. Overall, it’s a smart, well-built device that does what it promises. Not perfect, but definitely useful—especially for parents juggling a million things at once.

I am really pleased with this pack of 4 Samsung Smart Tags '2', which were so so easy to set up too. To show how pleased I am with these Smart Tags, can I say, and this is important to me, that two days ago I also bought a rival version of these tags (and a pack of 2 of these 'rival' tags cost almost the same as 4 of the Samsung Smart Tags. And a further comparison reveals that the Samsung Smart Things (Smart Tags) app was far far more professional and easier to use, compared to the rival Tags app which came across as if that app had been written using "paint by numbers" and very very difficult to navigate too. SO well done to the Samsung Smart Tags '2' pack of 4 which at the time were great value with Amazon. So setting up was so easy too, I simply bought up the "Smart Things" app on my Android phone, luckily this app is part of their system, and straight away I was able to follow the prompts to set up the first Smart Tag, and give it a name and other info. I then repeated the same process with the other 3 smart tags, and that was it. And as a bonus, those same 4 smart tags of appeared on another phone of mine (an android phone using the same account). I have included images to show the 4 Smart Tags in use, and also how they appear on my phone screen. Thank you great product, and a delight to set up.

Smart and compact design that fits into tight spaces, easy to replace batteries, good battery life (lasted 2+ weeks whilst used every day during a trip!), easy to connect and also to send to other Samsung users if need be. Range was great for what I needed also brilliant alarm option to track down items!

Well, yet again been suckered into buying numerous version 2's of these things, and yet again the same old problem is starting to appear. Seriously Samsung, can you not fix your product?? As posted previously on my review for the first version of the SmartTag, when it works it's great, but when it starts to fail, repeatedly, it is just such a plan in the rear end. Bought a load of the V1 SmartTags as we have some pretty expensive sports kit in multiple bags we want to keep track of. Have set home, and one other property, as designated "safe" places. After about 6-12 months the Tags, all one by one started to completely ignore the safe place designation. Resulted in numerous screaming messages every time I left the house without them. Tried numerous resets, battery changes, completely deleting the app and removing safe places and then redesigning them all. All to no available. Eventually consigned the V1 tags to the drawer as the number of false alarms outweighed the point of having them. Now we come to V2 of Samsung's SmartTag. Started all over again with a fresh/latest install of the Smart Things app, bought several SmartTag 2's from different sources, so not likely to be part of the same batch. Whole setup has worked fine and as required for best part of a year. However, we've now reached the point where the batteries have expired and needed replacing. One by one they've been replaced with a very well-known brand.... and now the same problems have started again. This past week I've been working from home, hardly gone out, and the number of false alarms is already well into double figures. What compounds the frustration is my home is defined as a safe place. I'm now actually getting false alarms as I'm walking around my house. On one occasion I was actually in the same room as the main kit bag - no more than a dozen feet from it. I suspect whatever this intensely irritating feature is, it may well have something to do with when an original battery is replaced. The act of removing and replacing somehow resets/removes something in a Tag. Come on Samsung, get it sorted! Buy at your own risk! I certainly won't be anymore. =============== Update: 12/07/2026 Ok, update on my most recent review above. Feel I may has done the Tag itself a disservice. What I've subsequently realised is that whilst I had designated several Safe Places in the app, and I've turned on the Notify Me When Left Behind option, what appears to have happened is any of the Enable settings against any of the kit bags has been turned off. These were most definitely turned On, and have been checked on numerous occasions in the past, so something has happened to disable then again in recent weeks. Possibly an update in background has defaulted all the Safe Places to Off, but that's pretty poor for such a key feature which is hidden several screens deep for each Tag. Have now reenabled for all those Tags concerned and (for now) all the annoying false alarms have ceased. SAMSUNG, I AM WATCHING YOU! ========= Update: 18/07/2026 Nope! Started getting all the same stupid alerts again. The tag concerned hasn't moved one inch in days. It's set to alert me if left behind. Home (which is defined as a safe place) is definitely enabled. I'm sat 20' away at most, and it's pinging like an idiot. I have more important things to do than waste my life with these Samsung products which don't do what they're supposed to do. Seriously - do not buy one, they're more trouble than they're worth.

Quello attaccato al collare del mio cane ha già preso pioggia e fango e continua a funzionare senza fare una piega. ​L'unica cosa da sapere prima dell'acquisto ​Ecosistema chiuso: Funzionano esclusivamente con smartphone e tablet Samsung Galaxy. Se avete un iPhone o uno smartphone Android di un'altra marca (es. Google Pixel o Xiaomi), non acquistateli perché l'app SmartThings non vi permetterà di configurarli. ​Verdetto: Perché proprio il pack da 4? ​Semplice: il risparmio è notevole rispetto all'acquisto singolo. Inoltre, credetemi, una volta configurato il primo vi verrà voglia di tracciare qualsiasi cosa. Brilliant. A bit expensive but worth it

Very easy to set up, smaller than expected and it also looks really nice. It has a great range of ringtones to choose from and it just looks and feels awesome.
