I recently purchased the Brother MFC-L8690CDW Colour Laser Printer for my home office, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Excellent quality printer which was easy to setup. Connecting to Wi-Fi this printer supports both Apple Air Print and printing from Android (with additional download). Fairly quiet for a laserjet of this size. So far toner usage has been fairly low and I have never once had any form of paper jam. The scanner is also great and feeds automatically, scanning. Both sides of the paper automatically. It also prints on both sides of the paper automatically with no manual intervention. The paper tray is also huge, meaning no need to keep refilling the paper.

I thoroughly enjoyed using this Brother printer, as it meets all my requirements, including automatic double-sided printing, automatic double-sided scanning, and a reliable Wi-Fi connection. The printing and scanning speeds are also significantly faster than my 2-year-old Epson inkjet business printer—it's impressive to see how much the technology has evolved! Brother cashback received in 20 days, still waiting for the confirmation of extended 3 year warranty.

I got fed up with ink jet cartridges only lasting a month or two of light printing and then costing a fortune to replace. It was cheaper to buy new ink jet printers some times, and then there was the challenge of finding the right cartridges. I think I went through 4 printers in two years, so even though the up front cost was high, I bit the bullet and bought this monster. It is not small, but isn't overwhelmingly large. Sits perfectly on top of a small file cabinet. I didn't have any issues at all setting it up (though there are a lot of taped pieces to find). It took a little bit to let it self-update to all the latest versions and then we were off and printing. Quality is phenomenal. Paper handling has been flawless even with double sided runs. I've run multiple size papers, and only just discovered the extra feeder tray. The scanning functionality works great both from the computer and using the scan to cloud apps from the printer. Wakes up easily. Isn't even as noisy as a ink jet and is much faster once it gets going. I've used it regularly for a month or so now and I just checked the supply levels... everything is still maxed. I love this printer and look forward to having it for a long time.

After cashback, I paid a little over £100 for this colour laser printer. Which is a bargain price! Even at over £200 it is quite good value I think. It is massive and heavy. Over 18" high. The colour resolution is not as high as an injet printer and photos, for instance, don't have good contrast. But solid colours eg lettering is reproduced well. I use it for occasional colour printing, where an inkjet might dry up. It can be networked directly through an rj45 connector, but I use it via wi-fi. It is recognised by Windows so you don't actually need the setup CD and also automatically by ipads. It will probably also work automatically with Apple/Mac computers. I think there are genetic toners available for this printer. It's well worth checking that you can get these for a reasonable price before you buy it if you intend to use the printer a lot.

Great printer! Easy setup and ready to go in no time. Bought this for my dept at work and is a perfect size to share with about 10 people. Used the online driver setup and have had no problems so far. we are not using the wifi feature at this time so can't comment on that. It prints super fast and easily handles the loads of printing we do. A big selling point was the built in USB port at the front so we can scan docs to a flash drive right from the unit. Good all in one without the bulk of some other models. Recommend! Please note: Parts for this printers are very expensive and it is good for small business but not for big business.

I purchased this printer after returning an HP colour laser printer that took ages to print. I decided to try Brother and I have to say I am not disappointed. I did read a lot of reviews before purchasing. Also, when I purchased the printer it was on sale with a cashback promotion. I am a Postgraduate student and I do print a lot of documents as I find them easier to read than on-screen documents. The print quality is very good as well as the print speed. You can print from your phone and there are various other options for printing. I have not used the fax, but the scanning does a good job as well. I believe the original cartridges are expensive, but I believe you can use other brands. I am not to this point yet, because the printer is supplied with a decent amount of toner upon purchase. Yes, I would definitely recommend this printer.

BEWARE. Had this printer since early January. The printer worked OK but last week whilst printing 50 double sided sheets, the paper jammed and started to edit a burning smell. I turned it off, and cleared the paper jam but it was doing the same again. I've talked to Brother and they have cited my use of 3rd party toner cartridges as the cause. This has voided my warranty and to fix the problem would cost £400-600 if I take the printer into their service centre in Manchester. I'm sure I'm not the only person who uses cheap toner cartridges- but this printer doesn't react well!

Very high quality printer for your company

Le contact avec le vendeur a été de qualité, la livraison rapide, et l'installation de base facile. Le plus dur a été de configurer le service imap pour envoyer par mail les scan. La c'est au bonheur la chance en fonction des services mail employé. Il vaut mieux faire appel à un vrai technicien si on est pas rompu à la bidouille informatique. Une fois configuré, le scan fonctionne à merveille, c'est une joie de pouvoir scanner en recto verso des contrats en une passe et à une grande vitesse :) L'impression est rapide et de très bonne qualité pour les documents texte et infographies. Bon à savoir, c'est une imprimante à destination bureautique, aussi la photo n'est pas sa spécialité même si le rendu est correct.
