Wish I bought it sooner!
Was actually using it when I got the email to review this item. I use it with quartz lock 2 rapid cure grout. Works great on walls and floors! I believe I got from contractors direct. Came 4 days earlier than estimated arrival. Currently doing a bigger tile job with it, 5 showers, 6 bathrooms and a larger floor area. This tool has been a great time saver and actually works better than I'd hoped it would. I use an 18v makita drill on speed 1. And you can feather the trigger when needed. Definitely the answer to urathane grouting! Squirt it, swipe it with a float, and wipe with a damp sponge and it's done! No messy, hazy cleanup! Just be careful of hard clumps in the grout. They can plug the end up, but not a big issue to work around. Sounded a little pricy to me when I ordered it, but definitely worth it! At least 5 times faster and way easier than a baker's bag! Comes with a few different tips, one angled one that works great on floors. And if you have running water on site, cleaning it is relatively easy. If you're considering giving this a try, do yourself a huge favor and buy it! If I had just one small job to do with it, I would buy it just for that alone.

Good tool, saved my hands from the grout bag!
This tool will save you time and painful hands! I was impressed by how well it injects the mortar. I used this tool to grout about 3000 sq ft of split faces field stone. It was around 75 80lbs bags of mortar. If this tool only last for one big job it is well worth it! Also, this tool is fast. I was able to grout a full bag of mortar in about 15 to 20 minutes. This tool never clogged and was easy to clean. Note, clean this tool anytime it is going to set for more than 10 minutes and don't set the injection tip in dry mortar powder or any thing that will cause mortar to set quickly (just like a mortar bag).

A Serious Tool That’s Worth It
I bought this to aid in finishing out a natural stone wall I’ve been building and to do some re-tucking on an old stone building I own. So far, this has worked well. No complaints at all. It was easy to set up, use, and clean. The price is definitely steep, but I’ve learned over the years you get what you pay for. It’s worth the price because it’s a serious tool well designed and built to last. More than anything, it makes a hard job easier.

Tool failed quickly
Nice idea. Works ok. Terrible quality control. After only 45 more minutes of use tool failed. Two set screws fell out and disabled the shaft. Poor.

Mason roomie
Very good mortor gun. It works real well for larger gap mortor joints. SPRAY.ALL JOINTS BEFORE STARTING THE JOINT FILLING PROCESS Keep the mortor like a cold yogurt. If the drill starts to slow down empty the fill hopper back into the mixing container add some water and remix to a free flowing consistency.I was a first timer and I caught on pretty quick. While using the gun run the drill at low or med. speed allow the mortor to almost bulge out of the joint seam. MORTOR WILL DRIP LEAVE IT ALONE MOVE ON. The mortor will fill due to the guns filling pressure. I used a table spoon to smooth it out when it was about to set (touch it and it should press down easy but not leak water). Don't worry about it getting ahead of you just have a spray bottle of water and spray joints ahead of your work. Remember to spray the joints with water before you start to gun in the mortor work. Allow the joint to set 1 to 2 hr on 70 degree +days. Then use a small wire brush to smooth the joints and scrub of the drips.Remember mortor will still work even after it starting to set. Your spray bottle will allow even finer detail with a mason's brush. It will resemble a tighter joint look and feel. Good Luck

Comparison with Surprising Results
I’ve been dreading writing this review because the performance of this gun turned was so surprising. Grouting with a bag is so slow, so when I was hired to grout an entire house with natural stone, I needed something to help speed up the process. I bought 2 grouting guns: First-this Quick point, high quality gun, made in the USA, well over $200.00. And second, a cheap $30.00 gun made over seas. In short, both I and my workers all preferred the cheap $30.00 mortar gun over this Quick Point. The Quick Point gun was much more time consuming to get set up. It’s a lot heavier too. The design is over complicated, so there are a lot more parts that can wear out. And that’s what happened almost instantly! The rubber cam wore out and fell apart on the second day of the job! We made due and kept running it, but what a pain! It was noisy and since the cam was demolished, the vibrating rod also wore out too. Not sure it’s worth buying replacement parts. Sadly, I’ll just buy a bunch of those $30.00 mortar guns from China instead of using the Quick Point.
