These giant bags are the best bags on EARTH! possibly because they could carry the whole earth inside. haha.. They are huge. The thickness is great as well. They zip up nice. I normally really don't put food in them though unless it's like a bag of flour that I am going to freeze or something like that. I am using these for household items I don't know what to do with. Like all the kids sharpies, colored pencils and that type of thing. Instead of throwing in the drawers, I am throwing in these huge bags until I can figure out what to do with them. They are also great to fold up a nice blouse etc to send to your favorite donation. It will stay nice and clean this way. I have many brand new thing or like new that can be donated and I like for these things not to be mistaken for junk! Putting them in this big bag helps for them to stand out! All in all when you do use for food they would be great for dry things like macaroni, rice etc. With the nice quality of the bags I am sure the food would stay fresh. You get a great value for your dollar!

These fit my whole 12 lb turkey, but I got them especially for my knitting and crafts projects -- heavy duty and sturdy, they hold enough yarn for an extra large sweater, and two put together can shelter an 18" painting canvas. They will also hold a paint tray overnight as I paint my bathroom. Perfect size for a lot of different things. One down side - the slidy zipper thing sometimes comes off, making it impossible to reseal them, but that is not enough reason to drop a star.

perfect for several uses...client puts all wool sweaters in them to keep them moth hole free, as well as fresh. great for silks as well. perfect for shoes when traveling. several clients love these for multi-use. they are durable, versatile functions, seem to be strong.

These are great quality zip bags. I use them to marinate whole chicken, or large batches of chicken, beef or pork. I usually use one or two a month, so this pack of 3 lasts a long time. It is money well spent. The zip closure always holds liquid. The plastic is thick enough and does not tear. It keeps food fresh, and works great for my family.

Love these large baggies. I pack all kinds of things in them. While traveling, you can put one outfit in one and throw in the suitcase, no more searching for the top that goes with the pants, etc.

Thin plastic but larger than expected. Worth the extra expense to get the slider... hoping they don't puncture as easily as the thin plastic would suggest.

Clearly they were made in the USA. The sliders help a lot in closing the large size bags. The zips are proportional to the bag and the bags are rather thick and durable. I highly recommend this product. The shipping was slow but it was worth the wait.

The bag is excellent size as made. I used the bag to season half a sow belly for "Macon Bacon".

I use the Hefty Bags for cooking with my 'sous vide' immersion heater. I found regular zipper type bags would sometimes rip open and water would enter, ruining the contents. With the price of beef lately I want good, strong bags and I have NEVER had any problems with Hefty Bags. I have cooked dozens of sous vide roasts by immersing the seasoned roast in a Hefty Bag and have never bothered using expensive and unnecessary vacuum bags and vacuum machine. Try them, you'll like them!
