Perfect for hiking, backpacking, camping, traveling, and everyday use. Love everything about them, except that you can't dry them in the dryer, but that is because it's high quality merino and not only a small percentage of it. Buy them, you'll be happy.

I`m probably going to get rid of most of my poly based boxer briefs. These wool underwear are better in every way. They don`t absorb moisture so they stay dry and don`t get clammy. They resist odor really well. They temperature regulate nicely... not to hot. Fit is snug without being tight. Not having a fly is nice because there are fewer seams and no overlapping layers.

I don’t know in what universe a 68 yr old male standing 5’9”, weighing 166 lbs with a 33/34” waist can be sized as XL. Nonetheless, the boxer shorts fit beautifully, are extremely comfortable, do not creep or bunch. My only complaint is that the shorts do not have a fly. This forces the wearer to unbuckle the belt and unbutton the pants to use the urinal, with pants threatening to fall down around the ankles during the operation. The alternative is to sit on the toilet like a female. Inconvenient. The inclusion of a fly may increase the manufacturing cost by maybe 50 cents. But if I saw another pair of 100% merino wool boxer shorts with a fly priced at $1 +/- more than the Merino Protect brand, I would buy them. So do yourself a favor and add a fly.

I bought these as a gift for my husband. He is happy with them. They fit comfortably and are soft. I will definitely be buying more.

So far so good. I’ve had them for a couple months, and they definitely stack up in comfort and quality to Minus33, Smartwool, etc. If you want merino wool boxer briefs, for the money, these are tough to beat. I usually wear long underwear through the winter here in Chicago, and I’ve discovered that if I wear merino wool, as opposed to cotton, briefs, I’m happier at the end of the day ha.

I love these for work. Keeps my skin dry all day even in the hot sun.

No fly, but... After about 5 wears, they are comfortable, have a good fit - as suggested on the site, look very nice, and don't smell. They are a light or medium weight and feel medium (corrected 2/7/2025) weight to me, which is what I was looking for. They are not as supportive as other boxer briefs designed to be supportive, but they are tight enough to work. I have been careful and hand laundered with a mild soap then laid flat on a towel to air dry. I am impressed.

Comfy after washing, careful about drying they may shrink (they are wool afterall) follow washing instructions on label
