These have a little more play than I would ideally want, but they are beefy and so far seem to be doing the trick. I noticed no issues with build quality or any defects, so I was happy to proceed with them.

Shortcut making your own go kart spindles and buy these instead. Nice quality! The spindle brackets are thick and heavy duty. I was able to weld the brackets with no problem.

The axle is not 5/8” and does not fit into an imperial sized bearing. This would work with a 16mm ID bearing, but not a 5/8 without some heroic interference fit that would likely cause issues with the internal clearances of the bearing anyways. So if you buy this, understand that you might get something that is 5/8, you might get something that is closer to 16mm. Also there is weld spatter on the axle near where it was welded to the spindle and the spindle bracket seems to be zinc coated. I can grind off the weld spatter but I’m not risking ruining a collet trying to clamp on those threads to turn the axle down to 5/8…

The plastic/nylon bushings they come with break upon installation of the spindle bolt. And if not, break down over time. Instead, I found four 5/8id,3/4od bronze bushings at the hardware store, drilled the hole to 3/4”, ground one end to correct for the added height, and inserted 2 bushings per spindle. When greased, it does not bind or allow slop

Not the best quality....hardly any thread material most of the length and completely disappear as they progress....I missed the return window so I guess ill try my luck with it but im not impressed.
