This is a genius invention, anyone with a hob should own one. I bought a new induction hob, and wanted to keep it shiny and new. So, I bought this, but I was terrified to use it whilst cooking! So it lay in a drawer for about 2 months, by this time my hob was starting to get pan marks, and when water boiled over, the hob switched itself off, cooking was becoming a nightmare. I decided it's time to get the protection mat on.It is amazing, and I wish I had used it sooner. Not only does it protect your hob from scratches and pan marks, it also stops the automatic shutdown of power, when there's any spillage. It's also very easy to clean, the only negative is that it is a dust collector! It may drive you nuts keeping it clean, but you will be very grateful you bought it.I would have liked it to come in different colours, but black will do for now.I fully recommend buying this product, it is just fab. Even though it's a little pricey, it is well worth it.

Excellent. Does its job and can be used as a heat resistant mat also. It does collect dust etc but all things black do and it wipes off with wet cloth. Very pleased with it. Thanks

It seems to work really well. My only issue is that it says it must be removed every 7 days and I was hoping to keep it on the hob all the time. Apart from that it's a great product. Thank you.

Burnt on first use. Not good quality at all

Absolutely love this .!!I measured the width & length of the hob first... perfect size..super non slip cover ..great textured surface.. easily wiped /shake off any crumbs..(it's a good thickness , good quality .)I have recommended it to my family.. A great buy ! Excellent value for money..

The thickness and quality seemed great. Yes, it attracted every speck of dust and fluff, but as other reviewers have stated, it could be removed easily with a damp cloth. So far so good. I didn't want to cut out for the control panel so used it for the first time tonight. I put one large saucepan over the centre where I thought hob zone would be, and another small saucepan of a cream sauce on the top left. The small saucepan took around 15 mins to get hot and even the centre saucepan with the 'boost' button on, took for ages. I eventually realised that both pans were slightly off centre of their zone and therefore weren't conducting the magnetic heat (sorry if that's not technically correct). It was almost impossible to re-align to the perfect position because you have to lift up the mat to see the zone marks on the actual hob. Totally impractical and so reluctantly I'm returning. Thank you Amazon for making this a smooth process.

Excellent quality, it was easy to shape even for a Bora hotplate with built-in extraction. Works perfectly.

I just moved into a house with an induction hob - my first. Finding it quite annoying as if a pan slips slightly off the diagram, it switches itself off. And you can't ever leave a pan to the side... so someone recommended this and I have to say I found it even more annoying because you can't see the pan diagrams nor the control buttons - and it attracts every tiny bit of lint in the atmosphere. The pans do stay in place, I suppose, and I assume it protects the hob from scratches, but I'm not sold. It's going on eBay.

tenía dudas pero la verdad que para proteger la encimera que es nueva, va muy bien. es para inducción, se cocina con ella puesta y las ollas o sartenes quedan mas fijas, no patinan como directo en el cristal. no pierde fuerza de cocción y se limpia bien con agua, con un paño mejor si es anti pelusas y listo.

Ich benutze diese Schutzmatte ausschließlich zur Abdeckung und Schutz des Kochfeldes, nur darauf ist diese Bewertung zu verstehen. Gegenüber anderen Bewertungen, kann ich die Geruchsentwicklung und entstehenden Qualm der Matte nicht nachvollziehen. Zugegeben, ich benutze sie erst seit einigen Tagen und habe sie bisher nur zum Kochen und Braten benutzt, wobei ich jedoch noch nichts "scharf" angebraten habe. Sollte sich dabei später im Verhalten etwas ändern, werde ich diese Rezession ändern.Aussehen angenehm und leicht zu reinigen. Das Anheben der Matte zur Bedienung der Bedienelemente, finde ich nicht als störend, ich verzichte auf das ausschneiden der Matte um die Bedienungselemente.Ein weiterer Vorteil dieser Matte ist der Schutz des Induktionskochfelds vor mechanischer Beschädigung - z.B. Tasse fällt aus dem Oberschrank auf die Glasplatte des Kochfelds-.Da bei mir die Ecken des Kochfeldes nicht durch einen Metallrahmen geschützt sind, ist das ein echter Vorteil. Mit ihren 2 mm Stärke gibt sie dazu ein sicheres Gefühl.Ich möchte sie nicht missen.Zum Backen vertraue ich mehr auf Backpapier, denn hier würde die Silikon-Matte sonst im Temperaturgrenzbereich arbeiten, was sicherlich nicht für eine längere Lebensdauer spricht.Den Preis fand ich etwas hoch, jedoch konnte die Matte bisher durch ihre Qualität überzeugen

Great product! Does the job well and as described. However, after several month of use there are some signs of use though. Not sure it's because of some heavy iron utensils I put or the quality is giving this away.Still happy with the product though.
