MAG B760M Mortar WiFi II Gaming Motherboard (Supports 12th/13th/14th Gen Intel Processors, LGA 1700, DDR5, PCIe 5.0, M.2, 2.5Gbps LAN, USB 3.2 Gen2, HDMI/DP, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, mATX)

Great motherboard so far after 5 days of use, everything runs great. Bought this to work for a faster/newer intel CPU (i5-12600K), as part of some upgrade tweaks for Star Wars Outlaws. Some key reminders for your build: * This motherboard requires DDR5 RAM. I actually realized this too late and had to throw out my old DDR4 RAM… good thing it’s cheap enough that I didn’t mind this upgrade. * If you are loading in a pre-existing hard drive/SSD: before you disassemble your old rig, make sure you are “UEFI ready”!! I was upgrading from a 9 year old motherboard, so my SSD was still configured for MBR (master boot record) which is old-school BIOS friendly. This MSI motherboard requires the new UEFI system, so you need to convert an old hard drive to be UEFI-ready (GPT = GUID Partition Table). This is really simple/fast with a Windows provided exe called MBR2GPT, there are guides online that show you how to do this on the command line. I did NOT know this before, so I had to reassemble my old rig just to run this step, which formatted my SSD to the correct partition style for UEFI. Then, my new MSI booted up automatically to Windows.

This board had all the features I wanted, was easy to setup, looks cool, worked with all the pre-approved hardware I bought, and doesn't do wonky things. This made me happy. I dont overclock. I just want things to work as advertised. This is one of those items.

I bought this motherboard after the one I had intended to use before this one failed. I accidentally ordered this DDR5 version instead of DDR4, and had to purchase new RAM instead of using the old sticks I had, but that was my error. I was looking to upgrade my computer and switch to a smaller form factor without having to swap too many parts at once, and this board has all the featuresI need from a miniATX board and more at a reasonable price. MSI has always produced rock solid motherboards for my needs, and this one is no exception. I will not talk about the ARGB headers or any software associated with that, since I had decided not to use any interior lights for this build. Just know that there are several headers for lights, and that they seem to be recognizable by most of light sync software I tried out of curiosity. The board has room for three m.2 drives, wifi6 built-in, and supports 3 generations of Intel CPUs, so it allows for budgeted upgrades without too much compromise on future upgradeability.

I know the board itself is a great product, but unfortunately, the seller sent me a used board with bent pins. I contacted Amazon, and they told me MSI would honor the warranty. When I called MSI, they said they would not because the board was sold as an open-box, used item—and since MSI does not have a curated store on Amazon, they could not help me. My experience with MSI support was frustrating. The representative had an attitude and was combative. When he asked for the serial number, I asked if it was on the box or if I needed to get it from the board. His response was, “Well, if you want the warranty, then I highly suggest you get it off the board.” Amazon then told me they could not exchange the board, only refund it. Now I have to wait 3–5 business days for the refund, but I also have a build deadline in 5 days—so this delay is extremely inconvenient. To make matters worse, the Amazon rep I spoke to seemed to only read from a script, and I had to explain my situation multiple times with no real solution offered. I know MSI makes excellent products, but receiving a used item—something I’ve heard others complain about but never experienced myself—has left me very disappointed with both Amazon and MSI in this situation.

Incredible motherboard for my i5 14600. Has enough ports to run multiple devices (DSLR for streaming, power lighting, Meta Quest headset, etc...). The PCI-E slot is sturdy enough to hold my PNY RTX 5070 oc. I have two m.2 nvme drives and 2 sata drives and it handles all traffic perfectly. My favorite part is the built-in 2.5gbe ethernet port. I have a 2.5gbe network at home and this is super convenient.

I purchased this board for a recent build with a bad Asrock boards. MSI to the rescue. Previous build would not boot with more than one stick of RAM. Posts online were claiming problems on all boards running 4 sticks of DDR5 with total 64GB. I was afraid I would not end up with a working system. I watched a YouTube video regarding this board. The guy in the video said he liked the memory over clocking feature of this board. So I rebuilt a freshly built PC with this board instead of Asrock's Steel Legend. This board has a beefier VRM heatsink. Even the M.2 heatsinks are beefier. System booted right away with no issues. Set XMP profile in the bios and system booted with 64GB DDR5 running at 6000mhz. Got bold and decided to try the memory over clocking feature. Was able to quickly achieve 6400mhz CL32 overclock with literally the click of a button. This board also looks good. The downside is that the board is 40 dollars more expensive than the one it replaced. That puts it only 30 bucks less than the Z790 Micro ATX board from Gigabyte. Haven't tried any CPU optimization yet. Running 12700kf.

Compré esta board para usar con i5 13600K y GPU 4070 TI OC. Hasta el momento todo ha funcionado perfectamente. Para esta gama de boards, este modelo en particular tienen muy buenos componentes, como los discipadores de VRM, soporte para 3 SSD (2 nVme + 1 mSata) cosa que es rara en board mATX y de esta gama. La memoria la busqué que fuera una de las que están probadas en la lista de RAM del site para el procesador seleccionado y con eso no he tenido ningún problema o inestabilidad. También me gusta que viene incorporado el WiFi y bluetooth, cosas que normalmente solo vienen en modelos o marcas más robustas o en generación Z. Armo equipos desde hace más de 25 años y siempre había preferido las boards de otra marca líder, pero en este caso decidí darle la oportunidad a esta marca porque era de las pocas opciones mATX que venía tan equipada, y no me arrepiento. A pesar de tener procesador K desbloqueado, no hago nada de overclocking por limitación del chipset, pero no ha sido necesario. Me gusta que viene con doble conector de alimentación para CPU en caso de usar procesadores más exigentes y sin duda me gusta porque siempre prefiero equipos compactos mATX y no son muchas las opciones que vengan tan robustas en componentes y calidad. Todo llegó antes de lo esperado y en perfectas condiciones.

Uma das melhores B760M que pode-se comprar no Brasil, ela possui todos os conectores modernos que uma placa-mãe precisa ter e quantidade confortável de conectores, está segurando o meu 14600KF com tranquilidade. Eu já usava esta linha da MSI, uma Mortar WiFi B560M com I5 10600K e jamais tive problemas, o que me fez adquirir essa.
