Govee makes good stuff. It’s in the mid range price wise, but having cheaper backlights these make it worthwhile. Installation is not too hard but a bit fiddly for some. The instructions are very good but this isn’t just a stick it on scenario. There are a few steps to install and calibrate but the app is excellent and talks you through it all. Once calibrated and set up, you can just let it do its thing. The app is for minute settings which most won’t worry about. Govee apps are always excellent. The effect is just amazing to see. You really have to experience it. Some wonder if it’s off putting. It’s not, it just blends in to the TV screen. What isn’t mentioned is it doesn’t just copy the colour on the edge. It’s AI decides the best surround colours. A snow scene with some greenery, it’ll create a full crisp surround colour with a spot of green. A desert scene, it creates a full surround of orange and yellows. In other words, it makes the surround match the whole scene, not simply copy the edges. In some scenes? If it’s a forest with an orange sky, it will create extended edges of green and blend into the blue and orange of the sky. In less detailed scenes, it works it out and the results are beautiful. Again you have to see it. One tiny critique is for wall mounts the box will be behind the TV so for very flat, flush finishes you may need to think about it. You could have the box outside the TV frame, but you would need longer USB extensions. BUT as it connects to WiFi and has an app, you won’t need to touch the box after pairing and it can be hidden.

Setting the strip up was daunting but it was much better than I had expected. I bought the version for a 55 inch TV and it felt like there was a little more strip than I needed. Fortunately, I was able to readjust the strip by pulling it off the tv once or twice. One negative though is that the little bits of plastic used to hold the strip down at the corners have popped off a couple of times but this may be down to my installation. App setup is fairly straightforward but I did find the app a little annoying when trying to calibrate the camera so it was accurate. All of the dots were in the same part of the screen and dragging my finger across them didn’t help. However, after repeatedly tapping the screen it seemed to work! Mileage may vary on a non iPhone device! Once set up, the lights are fantastic! There’s a wide range of colour that add a nice bit of atmosphere when watching something in the tv. Colour accuracy isn’t perfect, but that’s to be expected when using a camera and not something that is plugged in via HDMI. The settings add a nice bit of versatility as you can decide to mirror the screen or add your own colour scheme. It’s also cool that you can change the brightness of a certain side/sides, useful if you really want to tailor the lights to the room. Finally, I really like using the Google Assistant connectivity to use a voice command to turn the lights on or off. Would definitely recommend using it if you can! Overall, the lights are great value for money. In the couple of months I’ve been using them, I’ve always noticed them being on and wondering why I didn’t take the plunge at this price sooner!

This lighting kit has been a major upgrade for my TV viewing experience and I would highly suggest investing in this as there isn’t anything like it. It’s great this kit works on all tv’s and most sizes and is very easy to install, the adhesive is strong and hasn’t failed yet, while my only complaint falls with the camera adhesive as that can be hard to line up and once you pull it off once it’s ruined so they should include a few replacements. The lighting quality is amazing and it looks sleek with only the camera standing out abit. You are able to control all of it through the app which connect over a 2.4ghz connection to your device and it has all the controls you need as well as in app support if you need any help so it has great connectivity. The colours are vibrant and you are able to tune them to your liking anyways and there isn’t much latency which you can notice so it’s all a pretty smooth viewing experience. It’s better if the background is a solid colour on your wall so that the colours can really bounce, and it should be close to the wall for the best experience.

Upgrades your viewing experience completely! Always been a bit skeptical with LED strips as my past experience with them hasn't been great - mainly due to the sticky tape no longer sticking. However, Govee use 3M sticky tape which has incredible adhesion with no risk of sliding off from the back of the TV. I love the vivid colours and brightness of the LED strip and it's very responsive (almost immediately) to what is shown on the screen. The setup/installation was a little fiddly but just make sure you take your time with it. Must say, at the price of £89.99, I'm extremely impressed with it as the quality represents something which would be worth way more than the price I paid. All in all, I absolutely love this product! Brings gaming to a whole a new level

I've have a number of other Govee products and had been using the RBIC Light bars behind my 55" Sky Glass TV (Gen2) for a while but saw this on sale and thought it would be a decent upgrade, which it certainly is. I've got "Surround" lighting configured via Dreamview now and although the setup wasn't totally straightforward, as if you own a Sky Glass Gen 2, the camera doesn't sit flush on the TV due to it being thicker than most 'normal' tv's, with the 3M tape and a couple of goes at calibrating it, it's now working like a charm. It is now paired in a Movie Watrching Dreamview with one set of RBIC lights behind and left, another behind and right and a set of "Gaming wall lights' directly behind the sofa. The Dreamview offers an intuitive way to tell the system where each of these lights physically is and pair it to a corresponding number on a 'virtual' room within the Govee App. The whole setup works perfectly, not only for movies but when gaming too. It's superb and very reactive for the cost. I don't see how the far more expensive Pro version could offer more.

So it seems that if you leave a negative review for any product on Amazon it's instantly questioned!? So I've had to change certain aspects to this review!!!!! I Have had this product for a number of weeks and I have to say NOT Impressed 😔 according to govee simple set up and once done enjoy an immersive experience with lights that supposedly match what's on the TV screen ?????? Sadly this is not the case I have followed the installation instructions to the letter! Stuck the orange cubes to the corners and edges of screen, even using a tape measure to get the cubes in exact position. Not once or twice! But a total of twelve times!! I've tried with a black screen a white screen! the TV on and TV off! I've tried with a well lit room and a dim lit room and in complete darkness!!! Even positioned TV in different locations around my lounge! And yet have I been immersed in the light effects? Sadly I have not!!!!???? And yes I've gone onto the app and fine tuned the white Ballance etc etc etc and still no good!!!!! Govee back lights aren't even close to matching what's on tv screen!!! My advice to anyone thinking of buying this product to think again! There are similar products out there, they maybe slightly more expensive but they work unlike govee. I have recently purchased one of the other products which sadly is unavailable on Amazon (probably because they actual work) set up took literally 10 minutes NOT TWELVE ATTEMPTS!!! and within seconds the lights synced with the screen.. No adjustments No faffing about with white balance or calibrating the colours it just worked !! I realise that sellers,suppliers of the product and Amazon don't like bad reviews!? But this is an honest review! No doubt this review will be rejected just like the last..

Its a decent light. But its a pain to set up, requires your Location, Bluetooth, WiFi password, you have to make an account. Excessive and unnecessary for a cheap ass back light

What amazing TV RGB lights, they do the job incredibly well. I have honestly become a huge fan of Govee products and recently ordered their RGBIC Floor Lamp as well. These lights are absolutely superb for enhancing the atmosphere in your living room, bedroom, or TV setup.

Tout est pensé pour vous faciliter la vie : ​La pose du ruban : Les bandes LED sont sectionnées pour correspondre parfaitement aux coins de la TV (plus besoin de plier le ruban au risque de l'abîmer). L’adhésif 3M tient vraiment bien, même sur le plastique texturé de mon écran. ​Le calibrage : Une fois la caméra posée sur le dessus (très stable), l’application Govee Home vous guide pas à pas. On place les petits carrés en mousse orange sur les coins de l'écran, on aligne les points sur l'appli, et c'est fini en moins de 10 minutes ! ​Plug & Play : La reconnaissance Wi-Fi et l'appairage se sont faits instantanément. ​Côté rendu, c’est une claque visuelle. Les couleurs sont vives, la réactivité est excellente et cela agrandit littéralement l'image sur le mur. Cela réduit aussi énormément la fatigue oculaire lors des sessions cinéma dans le noir.
