Can you use this around the eye area? I have seborrheic dermatitis on my eye lids, under the eyes and the outside corners of both eyes.

I can only speak for myself so do not consider this medical advice. For me, as long as it remains on the skin I have no problem using it. Of course I do not allow it to get on my eyes. If I were to use it on my eyelids, I would put on very little and do it very carefully to make certain it does not get in the eyes. From my experience, I do not perceive any odor at all, so there is no scent that irritates my eyes. As for what you do, that's between you and your doctor (and I suggest you make your doctor aware that you are using this; if you get good results he or she may want to recommend it to others, and since individuals can have their own rare reactions, it is best that your doctor be kept informed).

Is this supposed to have a gritty texture or should it be smooth?

After buying this product a few times, sometimes they it comes very gritty like the cream had hardened. Ask for a return. Should be smooth

Can you use it on your scalp to ease itchjng from fungus?

While it does contain antifungal properties, it would not be comfortable in the scalp. We recommend the Spray/Drops or the Shampoo for use with scalp issues.

does it have steroid?

No. The active ingredient is zinc. It didn't do any more for me than any of the other eczema creams/lotions I've used & it is a very small container.
