Cream Glide Lip Liner - Truth or Bare

I love this ELF lip liner. I am old and use it to line my lips and stop my lipstick from “bleeding”. I follow my natural lip line, I don’t go “outside the line”. The lip liner is creamy and doesn’t drag. It lines my lips perfectly. It is long lasting, sometimes I don’t bother reapplying all day, I just reapply my lipstick. It matches my more expensive lipstick, I also pair it with a lip oil. I use a cheap cosmetic pencil sharpener to sharpen it. It is a fraction of the cost of my previous premium price lip liner and does just as good a job. I have had no problems with breakages and wasting of product. I thoroughly recommend this product for it’s performance, quality and price.

I love the cream glide lip liners and use them almost every day and it’s been almost 1 year and still I have product left. It does smudge a little if you try to use your finger but it honestly stays on fine considering the great price (compared to other known brands). The pigment is so good and coverage is great. The length of the pencil could be a bit longer but honestly it’s lasted like so long for me. The quality’s great. Only thing is it doesn’t last for as much time as I would have liked on your lips even if you don’t eat.

I have used the same brand of lipliner for years, but it was discontinued, and its ‘new and improved’ replacement was horrible, leaving me with an unwanted hunt for a different brand. I struck gold with e.l.f. The range of colours is fabulous and they’re all usable. I chose to try 4 different ones to try and get something close to my original shade, and I love them all. They arrive in individual plastic sleeves, which are easy to open, as oppose to the shrink-wrap plastic that is so difficult to remove. They are easy to apply and give great coverage. I like to use the pencil not only to outline my lips but to use all over as a base layer, and that does work well. It has great longevity and any wear is even, so you don’t get that awful ring of colour with nothing inside look. The only issue I have with these is that the pencil does wear down quite quickly, which is the price you pay for a soft application (and all over colour). I’m used to an automatic lip liner that you just twist up, but these have to be sharpened by hand, and there’s something quite depressing about seeing your paid for product being wasted on the shavings. That said, this is an affordable range, so there’s not as much hit to your pocket as there could be. Happy to recommend.

Yes its creamy and it applies without any drag like some liner do but although the colour appears different to when you apply it as I thought I was getting a dark brown but it applies a little bit lighter than what I wanted although its still lovely and I'm sure I'll be able to find a lipstick for it to go with but I hoped I was going to be able to do an ombre lip with my makeup I wanted to do for the new year celebrations for which is what I originally intended it for as I had a vision for what I was hoping to achieve...although this is irrelevant review to the product I have no complaints for the application or the shade but it isn't as dark as I hoped but that is my fault as I should have gone for the much darker shade of brown as perhaps if I listened to my instincts as it was telling me to go with the darker colour brown maybe this review would be different...but again there isnt anything wrong with the product this is purely my thoughts on the product rather than anything else

Fantastic lipliner for the price you can’t really complain I use it all the time, yes you do have to top it up throughout the day especially when you eat and drink but it glides onto your lips smoothly and is blendable.

It’s pigmented but doesn’t last as much as it should. It smells nice.

Such a great lip liner for the price similar to my Charlotte Tilbury one in same colour. Gives good definition, looks natural similar shade to my own lip colour and it enhances it. Really great value use it all the time.

Tbh, this is the only elf lip liner I own, because hello expensive as hell, but it’s so good almost makes me wanna get another in a brown or plum shade maybe. I’d rate it a 4/5 The colour is stunning and matches my golden skin tone so well

This e.l.f. lip liner honestly exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. I was looking for something affordable that still had good pigment and stayed in place throughout the day, and this checks all the boxes. The formula is smooth and easy to apply without tugging on the lips, which I really appreciate. It glides on evenly and makes it super easy to define the lips or slightly overline for a fuller look. The color payoff is rich right away, so you don’t have to go over it multiple times to build it up. I also love how well it pairs with different lipsticks and glosses. It helps prevent feathering and keeps everything looking more polished and put together. On its own, it also looks really nice for a more natural, lined-lip look. For longevity, it holds up surprisingly well for a drugstore liner. I still need to touch it up after eating or drinking, but overall it stays put longer than I expected. For the price point, this is an easy repurchase. It’s one of those everyday essentials that just works and makes your lip products look better overall.

Matita estremamente burrosa e morbida. Molto pigmentata, lascia molto colore sulle labbra, confesso che la uso proprio come un rossetto, più che come contorno labbra, poiché non si setta per niente, quindi suppongo sia ottima per fare combo bi-color chiaro/scuro. Vedo sui social miliardi di video in cui ma mettono, sfumano, e poi applicano un gloss/lipoil ma io così facendo non mi trovo, poiché il gloss e il suo applicatore rimangono macchiati, talmente tanto è burrosa. La sento idratante e confortevole sulle labbra, ma non resta lì dove la metti ecco, se cercate qualcosa di molto sfumabile, morbido, e non a lunga durata è perfetta. Io personalmente non uso questo tipo, ma per 4€ di matita volevo provare.
