Anker USB Type-C to Ethernet Adapter for USB Type-C Devices Including the New MacBook, ChromeBook Pixel and More (Silver Aluminum)

Having worked in IT for almost 40yrs, I've become accustomed to certain things ... like: 1. cables, like coat-hangers, will always get twisted up no matter how well you store them 2. The increasing computing power now compared to when I started is off the scale 3. Kettle leads 4. LAN ports on laptops It's this last that has caused me to buy this item. Modern laptops no longer provide an old style Cat5 LAN port, and when I wanted to test my raw internet speed I needed to plug in a LAN cable.. only I couldn't. Cue this purchase which does the job expected. It works, appears to have a good data throughput and looks solidly built with the main casing being metal. My only fear is losing it!

A touch expensive if I'm honest... However, as is with all Anker products I own and have owned over the years, it seems well built and just works. I plugged it in and connected the ethernet cable and boom, instant gigabit connection. Mine does seem to have warmed up over the many hours of usage, but it's not excessively hot and of no concern at the moment.

Cannot fault this. It provides a steady ethernet connection to a new macbook. The adapter does get very warm but works fine and provides a 1Gbps connection to my router.

I bought this to provide an ethernet connection to my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9", and it worked perfectly from the moment I first plugged it in. As at least one other reviewer here has commented though, it does get quite hot in use, and I'm a bit concerned not only by that heat itself, but also by how much my iPad battery is being drained in order to generate it. Ideally I'd like to see a female USB-C port provided on the device, so that the iPad could at least be charging while the ethernet connection is in use, and so not draining the battery.

I wanted to get a USB C to Ethernet adaptor which will work out of the box for my 2016 Macbook running MacOS 10.14. This does the job. Plug it in and then plug it into an ethernet connection and it just works - perfect. It's nicely made too and has a metal cover around the ethernet plug (which matches the colour of my Macbook!)

I bought this and it was a breeze to use, it did it's job perfectly and with no problems. A week or so ago though I started having intermittent connection issues. I contacted Anker and in the space of two days they had arranged a replacement. The new one works flawlessly. The customer service is truly great and I'll be sure to order from Anker again.

Like: easy plug and play function. Light indicator showing connection, power etc. Would have been nice to have usbc charging function for the device can be chanrged when used with a phone.

I chose Express delivery and my product was delivered next day. The product is well made, looks good, performs faultlessly and, at £14.99, it's well worth the money.

Nachdem ich auf ein MacBook Pro 2018 umgestiegen bin, suchte ich nach einem neuem Adapter für Gigabit Ethernet. Mein alter unterstütze hierbei leider nur 100mbit. Da ich mit verschiedenen PC's arbeite, speichere ich meine Daten am liebsten auf meinem Synology NAS. Über WLAN erreiche ich hier 20-60 mb/s wenn ich mich 3 Meter von meinem Google Wifi Router entfernt befinde. Mit diesem Ethernet Adapter erreiche ich bei großen Fotos und Videos konstante 125mb/s! Da meine CF Speicherkarten mit nur 120mb/s Daten lesen können, kann ich die Dateien mit diesem Adapter genauso schnell auf mein NAS kopieren wie auf meine interne (kleine) SSD... Ich spare aufgrund der höheren Bandbreite einiges an Zeit ein! Der Adapter erwärmt sich mäßig, bleibt hierbei aber völlig im Rahmen! Ich hatte noch keinerlei Verbindungsabrüche oder sonstige Probleme, welche ich bereits mit Adaptern anderer Firmen hatte. Ich würde dieses Produkt jederzeit wieder kaufen! + KEINE Probleme + Wacht zuverlässig aus dem Ruhezustand mit auf + Erreicht konstante 1000mbit + Plug and play + wird nicht so warm wie die Geräte der Konkurrenz + Der Stecker lässt sich gut ein und aus stecken Wie mit all meinen Anker Produkten bin ich auch mit diesem äußerst zufrieden!

Werkt prima i.c.m. mijn Chromebook. Heeft ook handige indicatoren (lichtjes) aan de bovenkant. Mooi product.

Perfettamente compatibile con MacBook Pro 2017. Lo uso per accedere e controllare la rete Dante di Audinate senza alcun problema anche in situazioni più complesse. Pari all’ adattatore originale Apple.
