Art Philosophy Watercolor Confections: Essence

This brand is my favorite. High quality, artist-grade, highly pigmented watercolor pans. This is perfect sized for the artist on the go or in the table. Provide 12 bright, intense, smooth and long-lasting colors that will work beautifully for an art or mixed media project. I love that the pans are numbered so you can organize them ordered like the swatch card included. The tin box has two-fold out mixing palettes. Each pan set that you buy from Art Philosophy (Prima Marketing) are different. You can see them in the swatch card and in the pan. The numbers are different so rarely you'll repeat a color. A great value. I have other palettes like the Vintage Pastels, Decadent, Essence and woodlands. I recommend them. Fast delivery. Arrived in perfect condition since the pans are well packaged individually for protection.

I love these Art Philosophy tins!! They have great color, are easy to mix and are just the right size to take with me. The tin can be reused, but even with heavy use, my paints are still full and ready to go for an art session. I love the pigments, and the variety of color combinations they come in. I want them all!! I learned to use more water on the pallet than I would have expected. They dilute very well. I wasn't sure about the value until I realized how well they last.

This colors are so gourges! I always wanted, and when I have the opportunity, the system not allows me to buy it. Finally trough a seller here, I can buy it, and I'm very pleased with that! So, this set of watercolors are so beautiful, rich, very pigmented, creamy and flows very nicely in the paper. But, I think, in comparison of the woodland set, that I love, this set...It's missing something... I think a dark color like black would be great! If you see, Chant 98 and Namsté 101 are almost similar. Chant 98 is just a bit creamier than Namasté. The other colors are super beautiful! I would only change that detail. I don't regret to bought them, I'm super happy!!! I highly recommend this! And the seller too! Many thanks!

I like the compact collection of watercolors. I collect the sets as new collections come out. This set is very earthy in color and would be good for many themes. Included is a printed swatch card where you can fill in the color. The colors do not have chemical names but lyrical names like Adore, Chant, Emotion. Cute but I prefer the 'real" paint names though I 'heard" that you might be able to find these on their website. Don't know if this is true. They brand themselves as professional, but what professionals really need to know if they sell things, how stable are the paints? Are they fugitive? Do they fade? I do not know. I use my sets for art journalling and card making.

I’m a huge fan of Prima Watercolor Confections because they are the perfect middle step between using student-grade watercolors like Artists Loft or Prang and jumping to professional (ie highest quality but also highest $$$) like W&N or Schminke. These paints are artist-grade quality, but they don’t break the bank, and each palette comes with really beautiful, unique colors. I took my travel palettes on a trip to Europe, and they were perfect. If you’re looking to get a bit more serious into watercolor but can’t make the investment to get the bigger name brands, these little palettes are the perfect option. I use a wide variety of watercolor paint brands in my work, and Prima definitely holds its own.

Love the colours in this combination. Small, easy to transport. One fault...one has to secure pans as they don't fit in box perfectly...they fall out!
