I want a pitcher to thaw frozen breast milk in. Will frozen blocks of breast milk from bags easily fit in this jar?

It really depends how big your bag is. But if it’s less than 3 inches, it will fit in the mouth of the jar.

Can you sterilize this? I am assuming since it's glass you can but I know some glass is heat sensitive.

Yes, I sterilize both parts frequently!

can this pitcher handle hot liquids? For example can I brew hot tea in it?

Yes it can. I think one of the intended purposes was to put hot coffee in it to store in the fridge for cold brew.

I am planning to use this for an office meeting (water and crushed ice). Will crushed ice easily dispense through the opening?

It might work okay. The opening is slightly under an inch wide.
