I have bought Uni ball pens for years and have always been very satisfied. I have purchased several packs of the Uni ball Jetstream pens as I prefer writing with fine tip and usually order either the 0.5 or 0.35. They write smooth and never skip, which is what I look for. This is my first time getting the Uni ball One pens and in my opinion, they don't compare. There is drag on the paper and they skip often. If these things don't bother you though, they are comfortable pens to write with and the ink color is very dark.

The pens write great, and have a quality feel in hand. My only complaint, as I bought these to use at work, is they leak if you store them vertically in a shirt/vest pocket. I like them so much I actually bought a pocket protector to keep using them but they kept leaking and it became intolerable despite the smooth writing of the pens. I still use them at my desk but I switched to a Uniball Vision Elite for use in my vest. The One’s write silky smooth and I love the cool integrated spring clip. It’s hard to describe briefly but it has a fidgety feel to it. Overall I dropped a star as the pens do not work in my application. I normally wouldn’t drop a star for that but they have a pocket clip but if you use it in a pocket your in for a surprise.

These pens are cheaply made and don't write well. I have these pens in capped versions and they are much better than these retractable ones. I have previously loved UniBall pens, but not these. I have already donated them to office pens for Clients to use or I would return them.

I had another uniball one pen I bought at a Japanese stationery store. I no longer live nearby the store so I got these from Amazon. They look the same in the photos but they are not the same things. The lines are thick and watery and the ink skips too much. I tried two different pens and I gave up within a couple of days. I threw the whole package into trash. It’s very disappointing.
