Great little fan
This is a great little fan. I love that it will sit on a counter or clip to something. It moves in various directions so it's easy to position it just where you want it. The clip is extra strong and it worked perfectly for my camping trip. It's not loud and, while I didn't need it all night, it had plenty of charge left when I went to charge it. It also came with plenty of charge to get started.

PERFECT, might buy more!
I love that it has the option for battery use without having to unscrew a back plate (thank you so much!), or charging it with a USB. It's small but powerful and I don't mind that it only has one power level because it's not weak. The fact that it can stand alone or clamp, and swivels in two ways is so handy. I typically keep it in my laundry room but I've also clamped it to my kitchen island while baking. I'll probably find many other ways to use it because I'm in Perimenopause. I honestly didn't think it was going to work this well at this price . Now I'm thinking about buying more.

Nice small quiet portable fan
Nice little quiet fan that runs on four AA alkaline batteries. I didn’t want one of those fans with rechargeable batteries built in. I wanted this fan not just for a bit of tabletop cooling but to use up AA batteries that no longer have enough energy to power clocks but still have power in them. Once they’re used up by this fan, I can then throw the spent batteries out. Besides the batteries, I like how the fan can be turned in any direction, hold its tilt and remain stable. It easily clips onto a 3/4-inch thick tabletop edge. It’s lightweight and portable. Update: 4 months after the original review, I accidentally knocked it off a table and it fell onto the hardwood floor. No damage and it still works fine. The fan was just resting on the table, not clipped to the edge.

Battery Life isn't great but can plug in using microcharger
This fan is convenient, however, do note that if your require this to run consistently, then be prepared to go through a lot of AAA batteries. It requires 8 of them to keep it powered. But a good option to the batteries is that it runs off of a microcharger as well and has a clip that is pretty sturdy. We clip it to the slats at the head of our bed (have an IKEA bed) and plug it in and it blows out a nice, cool consistent air. The power is not too strong but not weak either. This can also be utilized anywhere as it is portable - baby stroller, in a workshop, office, etc. as it is not that big.

Sahara Desert tested and proven!
The setting: I live in the Sahara desert. I live in a city without consistent electricity, where the highs get up to 110F/45C and the lows at night only drop to 80F/27C. The lack of consistent electricity makes sleeping inside almost unbearable when the electricity is off, so we are in desperate need of something to keep us cool during the day, but especially at night. Ceiling fans work great, but when the power gets cut at 1:30am, the sweat slowly builds and builds until our sleeping shirts end up soaked. We have solar panels and batteries, so we do have a small amount of consistent electricity. However, this involves wiring sockets all around the house, and getting special fans that can plug into DC outlets (not standard). It also means that our fan locations are stationary, so when it gets hot and we want to sleep outside, we have to choose between a solar fan and the coolness of outdoors. Enter this little miracle. I cannot emphasize more how much these little fans have impacted our lives, specifically in helping us get consistent sleep. For the short time before the hot season, we clamped 2 of these to our bed frame right over our heads. Sitting on low, the fan can run through the night twice before needing a recharge. We rarely, if ever, need to use the medium setting as the low setting blowing on our face gives us plenty of airflow. Then, in hot season, we moved our mattress outside under a mosquito net. We simply brought the box out (to elevate the fan to mattress height), and this fan sits comfortably by itself on the fan. A table would have worked also, but I preferred to just have it next to the mattress. Note, most of the other fans on the market can clamp to a pole but CAN'T stand on their own. We made it through our entire hot season without AC. Simply grab a spray bottle, wet down either (A) your pajamas or (B) a towel, put this fan on you, and sleep like a baby! Even when the temperatures weren't dipping down past 80F/27C at night is when we finally had to put the fan on medium. Even on medium, the fan still lasts all the way through the night (it's estimated at 12 hours). We use this fan to sleep, then bring it downstairs and put it on the breakfast table while we eat. We use it downstairs on our cushions for nap, and while we study/work. These little fans go almost everywhere we do in the house, and I can't imagine what we'd do without them!

Cools very quickly
This is the second purchase of this fan. This one was for a family member in a nursing home. They are very pleased with it. It cools very quickly.

Good little fan
Bought this gan to clip to my beds headboard. Comes with 8 generic batteries and a short usb chord. Runs a little loud, only one speed. would 4 star if it had a slower/quieter run speed but it does the job.
