Simoniz Tough Black Satin - 500Ml - SIMVHT51D

Used Simoniz Engine Paint (Satin Black) to refresh a steel bike carrier, and it performed brilliantly. Although it’s marketed for engines, it handled the job with no complaints—smooth application, even coverage, and a clean satin finish that looks sharp without being glossy. It dried quickly and didn’t require any special prep beyond a basic clean and scuff. No drips, no clogging, and no fuss. The result feels durable and professional, and it’s held up well so far against light scuffs and weather. For a spray paint that’s easy to use and gives great results, this one’s a winner—even beyond engine bays.

Really impressed by the ease of application of this paint and the resulting finish. An excellent alternative to the much more expensive PJ1 Fast Black. No primer required so an effortless solution for any job needing a hassle free satin black paint coat.

Covers well , nice even spray . Time will tell for durability

Painted my crash bar with this. Really good stuff and looks smooth. Did not prime or prepare the surface (not ideal) but looks like a smooth finish and very happy with this product

Really good, great finish and is durable

After painting the roof on my T4, with a satin military paint, the awning rail remained silver and as I did not want to remove or disturb the seal I had no way to pant over it. Painting over with military paint would work as it would hinder the smooth sliding rail, so if I wanted to slide the awning into the rail, I had to think of a way that would not block the channel. Here comes the spray paint. Matched my military paint chemistry so no chemical reaction and went on smooth. Now I have a stealth awning rail on my matching satin black roof, that unless you knew it was there, you wouldn’t see it, and I can still use the rail as it’s chip resistant. If it does chip, a quick touch up won’t be a problem as it’s fast drying (in the weather) As you can see by the photo (on the passenger side) it’s not as viable now and keeps the van stealthy

Excellent paint leaves a great finnish. Plenty of paint to do the job .
