Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe

The product is just fine. Disks were clean and a legit product key was included. The seller delivered as promised. HOWEVER: There's a problem with product registration on Windows 10. Installation appeared to work but the product is not runnable. This appears to be an issue with Microsoft who has long since "dropped support" of Flight Simulator X. In short, you'll wind up with a legitimate copy of Flight Simulator X but you may not be able to run it. I had the following experience installing FSX on two different Windows 10 systems. The software installation process proceeded normally and the product key registration was accepted as legitimate. Everything looked fine and you could run FSX as long as you like as long as you didn't exit. However, when you *restart* FSX, you get "An error occurred while attempting to activate the product " diagnostic and the game freezes after 30 minutes. There's lots of noise about this on the internet. Probable cause is that the Microsoft registration database is corrupt and, since Microsoft "no longer supports" FSX, they won't fix it. But this can't be the whole problem as I was able to install the exact same kit with the same exact product key on a Windows 7 system and it runs just fine. There are various suggestions such as running FSX in "Windows 7 Compatibility Mode" but I've been unable to get anything to work. Anyway, be advised that while this vendor has done nothing wrong, you may not be able to use the product.

It does not work. When put in hard drive the drive runs at a high speed and becomes very hot. I tried both drives. It starts to list all the files on the discs. That is not the normal startup mode for FltSim X. Microsoft no longer supports the product. I would like return this order. #107-8897360-5897825. (08/06/2013) Thank you for your service. After a few years of playing MFS 2004 MFSX is an improvement. A few bugs here & there are fixed. I have MFS 2004 a century of flight & I used to have MFSX Gold but one of my install disks for MFSX Gold was damaged forcing me to buy a copy of MFSX Deluxe since people are asking an arm & a leg for MFSX Gold so $22 for MFSX Deluxe was a great offer from the seller radiotvfilm. It shipped via USPS & took about a week to arrive. The case & game disks were in pretty good shape. Disk 1 had some smudges but nothing a little CD cleaning solution & a lint free rag couldnt cure. There were a few minor scratches but it did not effect installation at all. There were some faulty scenery directory files (Areas 115 - 119) during the install but that also did not effect the performance of the game. I have been running MFS 2004 & X on a Windows 7 laptop with 4GB of ram & an Intel 2.20 GHz. duel core CPU & the game plays just fine. I just had to calibrate a few settings here & there like resolution & audio to get the best performance. If people tell you that you would need a high end gaming computer to run MFS they are full of crap. My laptop is very basic compared to a high end gaming PC but handles MFS 2004 & X just fine. Heck I even ran MFSX on an old Compaq Presario desktop & it worked just fine. If you are having trouble starting up the game it is usually caused by a faulty Windows 7 update that they installed in September 2015. I forget which update it was but you can YouTube it to see how to remove the faulty update on your Windows 7 PC. I don't know if MFSX is compatable with Windows 8-10 because I refuse to upgrade to those operating systems but works just fine on my Windows 7 PC after I got rid of that faulty update that was created in September 2015.

Like any Microsoft product, the newer versions of Systems & Games just makes things more complicaded and worse. Microsoft Flight Simulator Games are great " From 2002, to MFS 2004 "A century of Flight". I love to take the Anfibian Plane and land in a local lake around here Rock Creek Lake "An extinct Volcano surrounded by mountains". They all have tons of local and World Wide airports. But MFS X-Deluxe falls short for My favorite flights. I pick out the Cessna Anfibian and go to the local airport, try to take off and notice a lot of shuttering, etc, I hit the button 2 on My Sidewinder to change views and when the close up appears, theres no landing gear, only floats with the plane skittering along the pavement. I choose a different plane to go buzz Rock Creek Lake on X-Deluxe, The lake is nowhere to be found. I bought and try to Download MFS X-Deluxe accelerator package, It "Don't recognize English". Updating from the Internet isn't any better, Downloading X-Deluxe requires the code that comes with the game, so My new game package has to be ligitimate. All in all I'm glad for the older editions. I usually use MFS 2004 "A Century of flight" it even has a simulation of the Wright Brothers flight at Kittyhawk, SC. You try to match Their 12 second flight, I've managed 32 seconds by catching the updrafts off the beach.

My grandson loves this game. He thinks he might want to learn to fly just for fun when he grows up. Maybe he might but he enjoys this game now because it is so much fun and makes him feel like he is flying now, without the risk of really crashing, which I like.

The price was ideal, however everyone should be aware that buying such a product without an activation code renders the game purchased useless. Vendor should have advised that there was no activation code with the item. I did contact Microsoft and they advised that Microsoft FSX is always delivered with a activation code. If it does not have one, then the game is not legal..... So be aware

I love this game! My uncle bought it for me when I was 8, and I have been flying for 10 years! Real world and on the sim. The only bad review I have to say about this game is if you are planning on downloading some add-ons or other stuff to expand the game, you need a powerful machine. You also need a powerful machine just to run the graphics well. My specs are: Intel Core i7-2600 [email protected] GHZ, rated at 11.6GHz, 9GB of DDR3 RAM, 300W power supply, GeForce GT545 3GB graphics card, and Beats Audio. I would recomend and am in the process of upgrading to: Intel Core i7-2600 [email protected] GHZ, rated at 11.6GHz, 16GB of DDR3 RAM, 800W power supply, GeForce GTX580 4GB graphics card, and Beats audio Good luck and happy flying!

Estaba en perfecto estado y lo pude instalar sin problemas. La estrella que falta es porque no estoy nada seguro de que fuese un producto original, más bien parece una copia.

Mais il est temps de passer sur un autre fabriquant car FSX est épuisé depuis des années, malheureusement ils ne font plus d’effort, ou ça ne se voit plus. C'est terminé pour eux.

A lot has been said about Flight Sim X regarding the system requirements, almost to the point where the rest of the sim is forgotten. This is a shame because its such a great simulation with plenty of aircraft to fly, from jumbo jets to gliders and helicopters and thousands of cities and airports to fly to. The ground detail is by default quite generic unless you're flying across the USA, but many of the terrain packs available for Flight Sim 2004 are also compatible with this so the landmarks and roads you expect to see can be added in later. There is also a way of incorporating the photography from Google Earth into it, although I haven't yet got to grips with the program thats available to do it. There are a large number of missions to try, starting with the very basic taking off and landing in a light aircraft to landing a chopper on an oil rig in a storm. Speaking of storms, there is also a function to allow FSX to download the weather conditions for the area you are flying in, for a bit of extra realism. Sure, the system requirements are quite high. It would have been silly for Microsoft to create a game that didn't push modern PC's to their limits. From reading various blogs from Microsoft staff involved in FSX, their intention was to make it so that it was quite resource hungry to keep it fresh. On the options screen nearly every setting is on a slider, so you can gradually increase the settings depending on how well it runs and you can even set a target framerate. I'm currently running it on Windows Vista with an overclocked Athlon X2 CPU, 2GB RAM and a Geforce 8800GTS graphics card and it runs quite nicely with most of the sliders on full. Unfortunately it can be quite jerky when looking around the cabin. The reason why a lot of systems struggle with FSX is because it is quite CPU intensive, unlike a lot of games that rely on the graphics card more than the CPU, so even with the best graphics card, it'll splutter if your CPU isn't up to the job. There are a few updates on their way though. "Service Pack 1" is allegedly going to move the load further towards the graphics card to improve performance. There is also a Direct3D10 update on the way, allowing FSX to utilise the more efficient driver model and DirectX features in Windows Vista, whilst adding a bit of extra detail along the way. There is also an expansion pack coming too called "Adrenaline", but this may require Vista and a Direct3d10 compatible graphics card to run properly.
