I had been wearing a petzl vertex for about a year and wasn't overwhelmingly impressed by it, it pinched at the temples and just felt to be a bit awkward while climbing, the suspension system never seemed to stay setup, chin strap would loosen up, etc. just general things i found annoying. Talked with a guy who had been in a studson for a similar amount of time and gave it a gleaming endorsement so I decided to give it a shot. Initially I questioned the cost but after about 9 months in it I'm confident it's worth every cent. My first impression was of the sense of quality the thing carries. It really is more helmet than hardhat and it's a distinction I've appreciated more and more as I've put it to the test. It really is comfortable too, it took a few days to adjust and find the sweet spot with the height of the rear support but that's the only thing of note really. Tldr: i was skeptical, it's totally worth it. Super comfortable, light, adjustable, reliable helmet.

Great construction but sits way too high on the head. No way to adjust.

The hard hat was missing a nut required for attaching a visor to it, returned both the hard hat and the visor because of it.

Very uncomfortable. Y will return the item, but I had to use it due to a job. The inside parts are falling apart already.

I’ve been wearing hard hats for 25 years, tried all brands. This is by far the most comfortable one I’ve ever worn. Cool looks it’s a plus. It adjusts up and down the front and the back support. Very cool feature for a secure and comfortable fit. As others mentioned the class , it’s a class c if you get the ventilated, class E without the ventilation. I worn during warm days and doesn’t bother me not having a ventilation while staying compliant with regulations.
