These beautiful white grommets replace the ugly grey ones that came with my desk!

I had a custom cabinet made of 3/4" plywood, in which I needed to install a cooling fan. I made a 3" hole using a hole saw to fit the fan, then ordered this grommet to clean up the appearance. It is a perfect fit - it's snug and I had to press a little firmly to get the grommet fully seated in the hole. I was worried about a loose fit and the grommet rattling or vibrating, but it is snug and doesn't vibrate at all. The plastic felt heavy and sturdy, not cheap and flimsy like some others. I think a flimsy or brittle one might have cracked when firmly pressed into the hole. Highly recommended for the quality materials and perfect fit for a standard hole size.

I used these as pass-through grommets for a church sound system master-control console, and they provided the perfect finishing touch. And best of all, they fit perfectly into a 3" diameter hole ... no having to shave the too-small hole or shim the too-big one! Will purchase again.

3" standard hole, add insert, run wires, cap with directional wire guide, your done. Easy as 1,2,3,4. Attractive also. I bought 2 different colors mixed, and matched the hole insert, and wire guide caps for what I thought was an even more attractive look. Was a good hole fit. Not loose.
