Berserk Complete 1997 TV Series [Blu-ray]

This is the beginning of the Beserk anime series and should be watched first. It is the best anime adaptation, looks amazing, sounds amazing, detail and care put into the story, animation, and characters. Highly recommend!

Incredible anime series. One of the best. The 2016 remake was pretty good, the newest one I found barely watchable. But this one, the original, is excellent and well worth the money. Its only unfortunate that this edition does not come with the extra items as the steelbook, but its the discs and episodes that matter at the end of the day and these do not disappoint. Japanese original language, with English subtitles is the way to go, always. Although, this anime didnt have too bad a English voiceover, most are comically childish compared with the original Japanese, but this one felt on point in English, its just much better in Japanese.

An absolute must watch! It's gritty, it's philosophical, it's moving. The transfer is great, both English and Japanese tracks are available (EN subs as well). Region A

Loved it I seen some mixed reviews about it not working but it worked fine for me and just used my PS5 to watch it, great quality too

The 1997 anime series has never been more accessible until now. This complete set has every episode, English and Japanese, and a whole bunch of extras. Discotek even went the extra mile to translate the Japanese extras like the interviews! The picture quality is beautiful, too. There are only two or three shots in the entire series that have been replaced with old DVD or Laserdisc footage but they're short and might not be noticeable during the first watch. It might have been like that on older sets from other countries. Regardless, it's a great purchase. If you're new to the series like I was, watch about five episodes online, then decide for yourself whether to buy this. It's worth it. But then read the manga after that. The 2016 show definitely does not exist.

In this world, it is a must have for any fan. Might even get a second copy just to keep unopened. RIP K.M.

This is a fantastic retro dark anime series. I love that gritty 90s style that those anime have. This was out of print and so hard to get ahold of for so long so i immediately grabbed it when I saw it was reprinted. The picture quality is as good as you can hope for. And it has dub and sub. Fantastic series with not too many episodes so it’s easy to binge. Makes me want to read the manga next

Desde muy joven fui muy fan de Berserk, tras empezar a leer el manga y ahora coleccionarlo, queria desesperadamente que saliera el anime para poderlo comprar, la espera fue LARGA pero valió la pena y me siento muuy feliz con mi compra. Es un anime que suelo hacerle rewatch cada cierto tiempo.

Didn’t realise it region locked so it’s unplayable
