Solid POE managed switch! And, it DOES SAVE SETTINGS!
The POE 2.5G version of this switch DOES SAVE SETTINGS, EVEN AFTER POWERING OFF! You have your typical save button when making changes to your PID/VLAN/etc. etc settings, but to save it permanently (from what i've seen), is to go to Tools > Save > Save. That will save your settings permanently, which I guess saves it to the nvram. I've tested this on both of my switches (I bought 2 of them). This POE managed switch works perfectly, and have had no issues. As managed switches can be a bit complex, if there are any issues, it's more than likely user error. I've had no issues... stable, fast, solid, boots quickly, provides power to multiple cameras, hardly any heat buildup. GUI frontend is a bit basic looking, but functionally... solid.

Ping times are slow
POE works fine, vlan management easy, but the ping times to devices on the same switch are 3-5ms. Should have just paid the extra for Trendnet or Netgear. UPDATE: After further testing I believe there is an issue with just one machine on this switch. All the others I put on this switch the ping times are fine. And even with the one machine having ping time issues it will still transfer files at max speed. So I am raising this up to a 4. Good pricing and so far its working for what I wanted it for. And the Company sent me a message offering to help with the ping times. Shows their commitment.

Use with Caution
The positive here is the switch will work and give you both POE+ and 2.5 GB. The speed and throughput appear to be good. It does auto-detect devices as well as an uplink switch connected via multi-mode fiber. The first time on, the web UI was accessible and the device was easy to configure. It comes with the usual, low-cost device interface. The box itself is metallic except the plastic front. All the ports connect firmly and hold tight. The power brick has plenty of length on the barrel end with a relatively short outlet plug on the other end. It's hard to find a better 2.5G POE switch at this price range. It does look good with the unique white front panel. That said, this switch is no where near perfect. The web interface is only available via HTTP. The web UI is not stable. I've had times where when logging in, it sends you back to the login page. This happens despite confirming the correct username/password was used. Then later, after the browser is closed and reopened, the web ui suddenly becomes available without even logging in. I've read online where some people had the same problem and got around it by telneting into the switch. Telnet? Really!? It worked well for about four months. Then the strange WebUI behavior started. Now, I cannot find a way to get into the switch reliably to make changes. This hurts because I recently had a network problem that required me to login to the switch to make a change, but I couldn't. Not a very happy experience. Overall, I would recommend you save your money and buy a better POE switch if you really need 2.5G POE. Unfortunately, I'm outside the return period and the support material on Amazon and XikeStor doesn't cover this issue.

Latency issues
There seems to be a problem with the 10gbe ports with intermittent disconnects and packet loss.

Works ok if you have time to tinker and figure it out.
With a lot of tinkering, it works as specified. Not much documentation, and it loses its configuration sometimes. don't use a browser stored password to login. It took me hours to figure out if i didn't type in the username and password, it would fail to login in Firefox. will update as needed if I find more usable information. Also no firmware update or even a product listing on XikeStor website for this model with POE.

Low quality, ports are too tight
Ports are too tight to push connectors in. Power supply is very low quality with no filtering at all. The only reason I give this switch two stars is it is low power consumption, around 3.5w idle with 0.4 added per each port. I would not risk my equipment with this switch.

Booklet with good and simple instructions. GUI is simple and intuitive. Just don't forget to save the settings, not just apply.
