These are a very "blue" white light. Not what I thought I was buying.

Excellent .. . Makes such a difference to the lighting of a room compared with normal bulbs

One of the 3 bulbs blew and did so quite spectacularly as a flaming fragment of the bulb was ejected from the fitting, was concerned enough that I immediately lifted the rug beneith to shake it off.Conventional bulbs you would write off one blowing but at 3 for £10 it's not something you would expect.
