Great game that’s plenty of fun
I think that this is a fantastic game! There’s some superb graphics that cover the scenery, the playable character and the NPCs. There’s a range of different environments including deserts and inside ruined building and streets. The story is intriguing and evolves over time with meaningful side quests that enhance the main story. The downside is that once the game has been finished it’s not possible to free roam and the game has to be started again. However, there’s a lot of replay value as you collect ‘skins’ for the main character (and 2 NPCs) as you play but these are different on a second play through. Combat evolves as you progress through the game and unlock new skills, and the boss battles can be pretty tough. It’s not hard like a ‘souls like’ game but still provides a good level of challenge. I’m someone who likes to play a game for the story and don’t like the mindless ‘shoot em ups’ or having to be ultra precise when I dodge or strike an enemy like in ‘souls like’ games. This game provided a balanced medium that allowed for challenge as well as story progression at a consistently steady rate. I’d recommend this game, especially for anyone who likes the same style of gameplay as I do.

Not just a gooner game
Yes we all know the stereotypes of this game, and yes, it's undeniably a part of the game. However, if you look past that, it genuinely is a really good game. the battle mechanics are good, the combat is fun and creative, the enemy design is great and the story is predictable but awesome. If you don't overthink it, this game is top tier. It was a fun platinum to complete

Great game, don't listen to the haters who haven't actually played it
Beside the obvious, beautiful looking game with great characters and lots of eye candy, it is really a fun game. Don't believe the haters saying it's just about the eye candy as they clearly haven't spent anytime playing it. The combat is awesome once you start to get hang of it. Levelling up opens new avenues in combat making it easier but it's still quite challenging. Reminds me of Neir Automata a little with the excellent soundtrack. Really love the music. This needs to be bought via physical so you can play it the way it was meant to be and not with the ridiculous censorship patch from Sony. Pathetic. This is a super fun game with beautiful graphics and stunning locations and an absolute banging soundtrack. Highly recommended. It's been a long while anything as good as this has been released. Enjoy!

Incredible visuals and soundtrack!
Fantastic game! The soundtrack alone is worth listening to on repeat. The gameplay is excellent and the visuals are stunning. Looking forward to more work from Shift Up!

A great, enjoyable game.
Earlier this year I got a PS5 and this is one of games I've been looking forward to playing and it's not disappointed me. Anyone who has played anything from PlatinumGames will feel right at home and this feels like ShiftUp, the developers, are a massive fan. Stellar Blade feels like it's a mix of NieR Automata, Bayonetta and Astral Chain (Astral Chain is Switch only, unfortunately). But it feels like a return to older games, a focus on a fun and enjoyable experience, just with the modern tech. Ok, the story and characters feel a bit bland, EVE is a good fun character but she's not anything special (don't except a 2B or Bayonetta), but the gameplay is great. What's nice is through the progression of the story you switch between linear level areas and you have 2 open areas and a smaller 1 area to explore. The maps aren't excessively large, nor is it littered with hundreds and hundreds of collectibles that we've come accustomed to in games that offer exploration. There's just a good amount of collectibles, mainly cans and outfits but also various of upgrades that can be found from doing puzzles or finding throughout. The great thing is, not including the few paid DLC, everything can be unlocked in game. Very refreshing in a time where a lot of games have to include numerous of DLCs or microtransactions. For the platinum, you'll find you'll need to replay the games multiple times to get the three different endings and this is where ShiftUp went a bit further. They added a New Game Plus that offers you a new set of skills, as well as giving you more outfits to find and unlock. There is also additional outfits to get and find in a third playthrough on a New Game Plus Plus. I won't comment on the outfits personally, although it's received some criticism, but they aren't all "sexy" outfits, so you don't have to put EVE in questionable ones if you don't want to or like to, there's more than enough to appeal to a wide range of players. Most New Game Plus outfits will be variations of the ones got on first playthrough, but there's still a few new surprises added in, most of which can be obtained the same as before through the chests, puzzles and quests. Apparently, a sequel is in the works and ShiftUp said they're going to put more focus into developing the story and characters further. Overall, in terms of most games released in recent years that I've played, Stellar Blade is one of the better games I've played. It's got its flaws, but the most important thing is it is fun and enjoyable.

PS5 is worth getting just for this game alone. The combat is fun, nice graphic, puzzle that actually make you think and of course Eve is the biggest selling point.

Un univers visuellement saisissant, mais dont le rythme trop lent peut freiner l’enthousiasme. L’aventure peine parfois à décoller malgré un bon potentiel de jeu. Je me suis vite ennuyé malgré les bon commentaires… comme quoi 😶
