Fit transaxles 580486201, 584973901, 21548469, 21549005, 587884401. Genuine oem general transmissions parts. Review: Assuming you're attempting to fix a hard shifting issue on a mower with an RS800 plastic CVT transmission; you have thoroughly cleaned the primary pulley variator area; the transmission passes internal checks and you still have a shifting issue, replacing this part is the next step in GT's troubleshooting tree. Most of you (us) are going to have to drop the transmission to install this. You'll need GT "special tool" GT79252 (you WILL bend the pin and gack up the shaft without it, so just get one). Several how-to videos on YT. Once you've removed this part you can access the lower cover; remove it and thoroughly clean/inspect the cam control area for anything else broken/wonky. The old ISS I replaced did not appear to be damaged, and only light dust inside - BUT replacing it did the trick, and my plastic, ultra-high maintenance transmission (foot pedal shifter) shifts correctly, the way it did when new - so I'd estimate this thing has been going bad for several years now. Only 209 hours on this Craftsman mower, previously replaced the pulley/variator with anti-debris kit GT79452 at 150 hrs (and over $100...). You may as well replace the axle seals while you've got it this far, they'll invariably be leaking as well... desertcart made me revise this review and remove all my negative rants about the RS800 transmission and/or my use of the shortened version of the word "transmission" which now has apparently become a lifestyle , so we'll just leave it at 5 stars for the part which did, in fact, fix the hard fwd/rev shifting issue, just as the GT guys said it would. Hope that helps! Review: Shipping was on time. This part repaired the issue of getting stuck in forward or reverse on a GT-800 transmission.

Thanks to the good folks at General Transmission! If you have a problem with a cvt just call them, they will help. I have never been treated so well by a company. This part fixed my transmission not wanting to go into forward or reverse. Easy to install and online videos help even more. Thank you General Transmission!
