Review: Great book - Bob Cordell has written a five star 30 chapter book on audio circuits and systems. This work is an encyclopedia encompassing many topics such as amplifiers, voltage controlled amplifiers, low noise - high performance preamplifiers, filters, and oscillators just to name a few. There are many more other types of circuits and systems covered in this book. In particular, I enjoyed reading about microphone preamplifiers and voltage controlled amplifier circuits (e.g., audio volume compressors and compandors). Numerous valuable references are listed at the end of each chapter, which the reader can use for further exploration. Bravo!!!

Not for light reading, serious technical treatise
A great book for the advanced reader. Very detailed and complete investigation of small signal audio electronics. This is a great addition to Cordell’s Loudspeaker Design text. I would recommend this to any serious audio designer or electronics students. A deep dive into practical electronic circuit design.

Great book
Bob Cordell has written a five star 30 chapter book on audio circuits and systems. This work is an encyclopedia encompassing many topics such as amplifiers, voltage controlled amplifiers, low noise - high performance preamplifiers, filters, and oscillators just to name a few. There are many more other types of circuits and systems covered in this book. Superb book my the master of audio design. This leaves the Doug Self book on preamps in the dust.
