If you know how to clean it, it's a great product!!!! Rubbing alcohol and a Magic Eraser!!!
Great for practicing. Could not get the paint off with warm water, soap, vinegar, or pretty much anything. I was super annoyed because it was the first time I had face painted on it. It hadn't even dried and I couldn't get the colors off and so I went on here and I read a review saying to use rubbing alcohol and before it dries use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on it and it cleans completely clean. I tore a little chunk off my magic eraser because those things aren't cheap! But just that tiny little bit took every bit of paint stain off really quickly. So I gave it 5 stars because it is a great product as long as you know this trick to cleaning it! It's so much fun and great to practice beginning face painting on something that doesn't move like a 3 or 4 year old. I can actually am getting the different strokes down now and learning how to use the various brush shapes. I know it will be much easier when I actually do it on a real head!!! Yay

Would buy again!!
It does stain like they warn but honestly for how much make I do on this thing it would probably stain anyway so it doesn't bother me! I found cream products work best but you can use powders if you use a sticky primer or a cream product under. This makes trying out new cosplay make up so much easier!!

skin a weird color. cap won't stay on. But otherwise very useful
Pros: face looks sufficiently gender neutral. It cleans easily enough if you follow the directions and use the correct products. It is sturdy and stands nicely. I like the texture. Not quite like skin but it does the trick well. Cons: The cap the neck sits on falls off very easily. Nothing holds it on (not even friction) . I would prefer it screwed on or had a catch/latch so I could store the cleaning supplies inside. I find the skin is a weird color. It is too dark to also be that pink. I get it is trying to be many skin tones but it ends up being none. So it is hard to demo anything with foundation. And the colors come out strange.

It's ok. Doesn't clean well, but does clean.
So the paint goes on well, and it's nice to practice on because it's kinda child size. However, as you can see by the picture, it doesn't come off well. This picture was taken after an hr of scrubbing. I even tried nail polish remover, to no avail. Kinda disappointing, as it makes it distracting when trying to paint on it again. But it works, if not perfectly, so 3 stars. ***after buying magic rub eraser and 91% alcohol*** I did try this and it did work. BUT i cleaned about half of the head to see the difference and it took me about 15 mins of hard scrubbing. I'm practicing different looks with face paint, and I'm using high end products (not cheep starter sets) so the paint stains easily. I'm spending 45 mins to try and clean a head just so I can work on it again! Way too much. I suppose I can just rise it and paint again with the stains, so it still does work. That is why I raised it to 4 stars. I can't expect this product to be perfect, and it sure beats making my poor boyfriend's face red with having him try look after look with face paint. So all in all, good product. Not perfect, but good.

They shouldn't add makeup to the name!
I bought this because I wanted to practice makeup. I also bought it because I wanted something a little more realistic This product may work for face paint, I don't know, but it does not work for makeup. It's a hard plastic so any powder will fall off, if you can only use liquid products (which because of the plastic don't work that well either) then you can't practice makeup realistically! Also the eyebrows were carved in, and I did not like that at all. The cleaning, if it was cheap, wouldn't have been bad but because it's $40 I think it should be a little better, for the price, you should also be able to actually apply makeup on the head. I think it would be better if it was a silicone or a texture that was more skin like, combine that with the price and the realistic features of this face that would be a great product! Overall, I gave it one star because I couldn't even do what the company claimed I could do, apply makeup on the face.

Works perfectly if you follow directions!!
This works perfectly for facepainting practice if you follow directions on the card included!! Spray with hairspray and let dry, paint and remove with baby wipes or wet towel and if for some reason it still stains use a magic eraser to clean!! It’s pretty easy and doesn’t take long. I’m glad I got it!

Quality head, but beware of staining!
I bought this to practice face painting designs for a small side business I'm starting and to then use it to take pictures to use as examples for advertising purposes and for kids to choose from. I used only professional paints such as TAG, Wolfe, and Mehron. PROS: Good size, sturdy even though you can't mount it to the table but it does have that white base that helps keep it upright unlike others that have a flat back and lie on a table, realistic features, reasonably priced. CONS: No instructions therefore if you have never used a mannequin head to practice on you are pretty much in the dark unless you Google instructions on how to clean, which I didn't think to do so, so my head stained pretty bad. You can't just use soap & water. Not even with a brillo pad. I even tried make-up remover. None of those worked. You can see in pictures 1 & 2 where I first used soap, water, make-up remover. Then I read the reviews here and used 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and a Mr.Clean Magic Eraser. After about 30 minutes of hard scrubbing and dying from the alcohol fumes the stains came off as much as they're going to. You can see in pictures 3 & 4 that the stains faded quite a bit, but I think I may be able to paint over the faint marks and the new art will cover it. Fingers crossed. Also, just a side note that the darker the face paint the harder it is to come off. OVERALL: I'm pretty disappointed in the clean-up efforts, but I'm not going to return it just yet until I see how the next paintings go.

OK, but imperfections
OK product, states in warning that due to how the heads are manufactured theu may have imperfections. Unfortunately I ended up with one that had an imperfection on the left eyelid, right where makeup will be applied 😔

Easy to sculpting prosthetics
It is suitable for sculpting easy prosthetic models. Perfectly unsticking. But maybe not suitable for face painting bcs colours can be hard to remove from it.

Mehron head stains too easily for face painting
I love the realness of the head. I’m doing race-baiting so it’s great to experiment with new designs… but…it stains terribly. I looked up and it says most practice heads stains as I was thinking of returning it. I’m going to try magic eraser and isopropyl alcohol and hope it cleans it. As a head, it’s perfect for face painting. It’s the surface that is not great as it stains easily.

Stained by second use.
Disappointing. Use for face painting. Heavily stained. Plastic too hard to work colours as no give in material. Would not purchase again.
