70A Trolling Motor Plug & Receptacle for 2 or 3 Wire 12-48V Systems Compatible with Minn Kota Marine Boat, Watertight Heavy Duty Electrical Power Connector Black

Been using these heavy-duty electrical connectors on my boat for a few months now and they've held up pretty darn well! I needed something beefy to handle my power-hungry trolling motor and these 70-amp bad boys have been up to the task. The molded plastic construction feels really rugged - no signs of wear or corrosion from the saltwater so far. And the built-in strain relief on the plug is clutch for keeping my wiring secure. No accidental pull-outs on my watch! Waterproofing is on point too. The gasket on the plug and the cap for the receptacle keep everything nice n dry, even when I'm out in rough seas. Haven't had any issues with water sneaking in where it shouldn't. Installation was mostly straightforward, 'specially with the included ferrules for my 6-gauge wire and the handy hex wrench for the set screws. The instructions could use some work though - had to do some Googling to fill in the gaps. One thing to note - the mounting holes on the receptacle are a smidge small. The provided screws get the job done, but if you wanna use your own hardware you might need to break out the drill. Not a dealbreaker, but something to plan for. The waterproof cap is also a bit persnickety. It's a super snug fit, which is great for keeping water out but can be tricky to get on and off. Definitely a two-hand job, especially if your mitts are wet. But overall, I'm diggin' these connectors. They're tough, they keep the water out, and they can handle the high amps my trolling motor throws at 'em. Plus, it's nice to know they'll work with a bunch of different voltages if I wanna hook up some other gizmos down the line. So if you're in the market for some robust electrical connectors for your boat or other marine setups, these are worth a look. Just be ready for a bit of elbow grease on the install and some fiddlin' with that waterproof cap!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Perfect for my Minn Kota Terrova 24v 80lb trolling motor. Easy plug and play, and the 4 gauge wires I used stay put perfectly. Very pleased with this addition to my boat.

Well built 70 amp plug and socket for trolling motor! The only reason i'm knocking off one star is that the lock washer is Extremely dificult to get started if you can't see it (like when you're reaching under a boat deck to secure it blindly...) Spent literally 2 hours trying to get the lockwasher started without cross-threading and even took it back off the boat to practice getting it started where I could visually see if it was perpendicular. For the record I can blindly thread any nut anywhere on a car or boat in seconds ;) After practice I was finally able to get it one blindly without cross-threading (See other reviews with the same comments). Hopefully the manufacturer is reading these reviews and changes the thread to something courser and/or a thicker locknut?

Impressed with how heavy duty it appears to be. Will install it with 6 ga. wire from the battery and the stock factory wire on my new 24v 80# thrust Terrova. Price was much less than some other choices. Haven’t installed it yet but don’t anticipate any problems.

bought this for my Minn Kota PowerDrive 70 Trolling Motor w/Micro Remote - Dual Spectrum CHIRP - 2 and it works like a charm 2 years in the weather still no problems.

Bought it for my minnkota terrova have had no issues. Installation was simple and the build quality was impressive for the price. Definitely don’t hesitate to use for your minnkota trolling motor. Atleast you get to save a few bucks somewhere when you’re buying those things. I struggled in the video trying to do it through my camera. But I assure you it’s simple!

Reasonably priced. Heavy duty construction. This was a great upgrade when I switched to a 24 volt trolling motor

Nice sturdy plug, have it on my Min Kota Ulterra.

I had to reach in behind the location where I was installing it and the fine thread on the back of the plug was hard to start. Course thread would have been useful. Other than that, excellent quality.

Good quality, no issues installing with 6 ga wire.
