I’ve been using the AquaBliss High Output Revitalizing Shower Filter for a few weeks now and I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin. My skin feels healthier, softer, and much less dry after showers. The water even feels cleaner and gentler overall. Super easy to install and definitely worth it!

The filtration aspect works well. Our water where I live has become noticeably more hard in the last year with mineral deposits leaving a film on things like the chrome handle and escutcheon for the shower valve and in a way that is no longer easy to clean. The residue is thick and crystallized on these chrome parts and feels sharp, but strangely on the “rubbed bronze” shower head we have the hose casing is coated in the same mineral deposits but it is like a powdery texture that comes off but only with a fine edge like the back of a box cutter razor blade or a finger nail. As you can imagine, this level of water hardness has been wreaking havoc on my skin, so much so that I was dreading having to take showers because of how badly the high concentration of minerals and chlorine in our city water strips my body of oil and dries out my skin to the point that I feel like a Stone Man from GOT. One day it was so bad I used ~ 6 fl.oz of standard Eucerin lotion just to take the edge off of how profoundly itchy my skin had become after a shower, and for weeks after my skin has yet to fully recover and this amount of body lotion use is just not sustainable, so I looked into it and learned about these shower supply filters that have become disturbingly mainstream in the last 5 years or so, and for the price it was well worth giving this filter a try. Day one was a night/day difference. I had slowly become so accustomed to how terrible our water is that the now filtered water actually FEELS different in the shower!! It’s silky smooth and just feels like you’re being spoiled. So for its purpose, this filter does its job 5/5 stars. The design earns it 4/5, and here is why. American pipe thread is tapered. The standard shower nipple elbow is 1/2” NPT (national pipe thread) and both sides are male threads. None of the female threads on the filter or its included extensions are NPT so what you get is a less than ideal seal. The kit comes with 6 screened washers, and I used 5 of them to make this thing work. When I tightened the filter directly to the 1/2” NPT elbow coming out of my shower wall, the female threads of the filter got all galled up. The only way I could make it work was to use an extension, install that alone to the pipe with screen washer and plenty of teflon tape (did plumbing for 4 years so I do know how to correctly use PTFE tape) then screw that filter onto the installed extension with another screen washer, then finish connecting the shower head and all. At least one extension and the input side of the filter should be 1/2” NPT rather than having straight threads and relying on PTFE tape and a rubber washer to hold it all together. I cannot speak to longevity but I hope it lasts at least 4 months. Durability is a 3/5. If it were a metal housing it would be too heavy, which brings my next point— this effectively doubles your leverage on the 1/2” elbow coming out of your wall, so be extra cautious when handling the shower head or handheld. Water pressure is unchanged 5/5 there. There’s a GE filter out there comes in chrome, don’t bother. This AquaBliss filter is less prone to leaks and that GE one cuts pressure by at least half

I have been using this for just over 2 months now and have really noticed a difference in my skin and hair. For years my feet have been extremely dry and scaly no matter how much or what kind of moisturizer I tried. After 2 months of showering with this filter it has made a night and day difference. Without the use of any moisturizer, my feet are so smooth and soft now that I can’t wait to wear sandals this summer. My hair is also greatly improved in its softness and texture. Best money I’ve spent this year! Also, installation was very quick and easy.

Absolutely love this shower filter. The water pressure stayed strong, installation took only a few minutes, and my skin and hair already feel noticeably better after just a few showers. The design looks sleek in the bathroom and it feels much higher quality than expected for the price. Definitely worth it if you want softer water without sacrificing water flow. Highly recommend!

Can’t say enough great things about this product. My partner has been having itchy scalp issues for a long time, going through all sorts of shampoos. Nothing worked. A couple of years ago we moved to a place with incredibly hard water and it got worse. She was talking about getting a whole house water conditioning unit. We decided to start small and found this Aquabliss shower filter. It was incredibly easy to install, extra parts and OMG, it even had a roll of Teflon tape!! How many times have you had to run out just to one of those for a project? Best of all, the itchy scalp is gone. Her hair is softer and glossier and her scalp doesn’t itch. She said it felt better after just one shampoo. So totally thrilled with the product in every respect!!

TLDR: def removes something from water if there is something to remove, improve quality of water based on that, improved water pressure. I got an old house with hard water AND iron pipes so our shower is constantly covered in white and red film. Since moving in my husbands psoriasis has been constantly flared up and I developed an extremely sensitive scalp and both of us were dealing with more acne all over. I knew it was the water, my husband said I was being dramatic. But even getting out of the shower it felt like I was still covered in soap and shampoo. After my father, and experienced carpenter/house builder, confirmed I wasn’t being crazy, our water sucks. Problem is at this time we can’t get a whole house filter and our shower/tub is weird. Our tub is a walk in tub (think old person tub) and the water spout is deck mounted. The shower head is handheld and the hose comes from the deck mounted spout so there was no area to fit a filter at the source of the hose. The shower head holder is slide bar mounted and flimsy at best but what ever filter we installed needed to fit at one end of the hose. I installed the filter on the head side of the hose. Installation was easy, un screw the head from the hose, screw the filter on the hose and the head on the filter. I did have to add an O ring to the filter because there was one spot that leaked but it was resolved very easily. No fault of the filter we got a suction cup mount that’s working great especially because it elongates the handheld portion so increases the height of the head when mounted. I noticed an increase in water pressure immediately- barely turn on the water now for full pressure- so assuming we are saving some bucks there. First shower after I got out I actually felt like my skin was clear and clean, no residual anything on my skin from what I could feel. Husband even admitted after showering he felt a significant difference on his skin and especially his scalp, his most sensitive skin with the most flare ups. I was afraid I’d be disappointed when I washed my hair because I have dense, thick hair that hates being washed in the first place and after washing/conditioning was when my skin felt the worst. My hair hasn’t been this nice in so long. It feels clean after washing it and I can use so much less product to condition it. Def stocked up on filters so we don’t have to go through that again and working on replacing the hose and head so ideally we have the most filtered water while showering.

I had an old filter that made the water flow weaker. Removing that restored the strong water flow however i needed to filter out the chlorine content in my supply. Having been skeptical on this with the experience from the old filter, i tried it out. To my pleasant surprise it did not make my water flow weaker. This is excellent, for the chlorine filtering, will need some time to observe, but the water pressure alone is what makes this product excellent!

I have used this product twice only and I still noticed a massive difference already. I didn't realize how poor the water quality at home was until I installed this (didn't take more than 5-10 minutes. Update: 5 months later the smell of flouride in the water came back with the skin irritation this product help me cure. I have replaced the cartridge inside (super easy!) and I'm back to clean water again. Definitely no regrets here.
