Good Strimmer
After spending 6 weeks away from home, i returned to find my garden in a horrendous state with 3 ft grass, my partner is not strong enough to start the petrol mower so she couldnt cut it whilst i was away. Anyway i needed a beast to get through the grass and weeds, but i didnt want to fork out loads of cash for a decent strimmer... Saw this Timberpro which is actually a carbon copy of a very well known brand.... Bought it, it arrived in 2 days, easy to assemble, snd started on 3rd pull of the cord.... Very powerful and dealt with my garden easily... Trimmer line ran out quickly as not much is supplied, but easily replaced.... Had no need to use the cutting blades, and to be honest they seem unessacary for garden use.Every spare you can think of is available on a well known auction site just sometimes under a different name like actecmax, timbertech etc etc..... They obviously just get churned out of the factory and then branded afterwards for different sellers, but they are all the same machine.... The strimmer is well made, at first i thought the shaft that holds the strimmer head had some slight play left and right when attached to the main unit, but this locked up after the first use.... It is quite heavy on fuel but it is a 52cc engine...one thing i recommend is having a look at how the strimmer line is wound on before you use it, or look at a youtube video, because if you have never done it before it will drive you clincally insane when you come to replace the line... The actual bump feed works well, i just blip the throttle just before i tap the head, works just fine....... All in all a decent product, my advice would be to shop around for the cheapest price with the longest warranty, as i said it doesnt matter what brand it is, they are all the exact same machine.

Very Satisfied
Bought this machine because the 4 stroke I bought is spitting out oil through a bearing somewhere. amazed at the price it assembled easily, started on the second pull and did a great job on an area which has not been touched for three to five years including Currant and Rasberry canes up to 20mm thick with the saw blade.

Amazing product for price
It's not often that I leave feedback unless it's negative (I am probably not alone) but is nice to be able to say that I am delighted with the product and the quality! I have other petrol strimmer's one expensive and one very cheap! This timberpro 52cc model was ment to replace my cheap model!! But this is not the case! It's amazing and easy to use! I would highly recommend not just the strimmer but also the service from timberpro! Well done and thank you! Ps if you ever need product testing you know where I am :-)

it is not easy to handle around the garden
Brought this machine last year and out of the box it was a bit of a nightmare. The harness bucket was so tight it snapped when put together and the controls on the handle bars were loose and felt cheap. The machine is very heavy also, it is not easy to handle around the garden. The whole machine seems very cheap and clunky This year, after only using a handful of times last year, the machine would not start. I contacted the seller directly and they said the machine has to be sent back to them. I live in Ireland and said this would be expensive so they offered to send it to their partner in Clonmel. The partner in Clonmel said the engine needs replacing, contacted the seller back and he said for that it needed to be returned to them. I asked if they could collect from their partner and they bluntly reminded me that they don't collect and I had been told before in a prior email. Safe to say I wont be sending it back as it will likely cost about as much as I paid and more in the long run Avoid this machine lads, chances are its going to break and cost you more in having to send it back. Spend the extra and avoid the hassle that I and countless others have had.

Not quite
As you would expect, I was very happy to receive the Timberpro. A nice new toy. I set about putting it together. Easy. It started after only two pulls of the cord. An hour later and the garden was done. I noticed however that the engine caseing was vibrating a lot. It turned out that the screws were lose. It turns out that all the screws and bolts were lose. They ALL required tightening. This in it's self could have been dangerous. Other than that it is a great piece of equipment. Well worth the money

Well I liked it
Having had to return the strimmer that I borrowed six years ago (due to my friend remembering who he had lent it to) and having recently had access to a large overgrown field, I was looking for a cheap heavy duty strimmer. Having trawled through countless products and reviews on Amazon, I decided to order the Timberpro 55cc despite occasional reviews detailing difficulty in assembly, difficulty in starting, difficulty in changing the line in the spool, poor instructions, seller not replying etc. I thought if it lasts long enough to do the field then it is worth a hundred quid. My experience is as follows, the strimmer arrived in good time with all the accessories, I managed to assemble it in about twenty minutes (using the clear instructions), I mixed the fuel and oil (in accordance with the instructions) so that the engine did not seize, primed the engine (according to the instructions) and after two pulls on cord the engine started. The strimmer was really powerful and after a minor (easy) adjustment to the harness (with the tools provided) I had a strimmer that was comfortable and balanced to use. Then disaster, after about three days of solid use I noticed one of the lugs that held the spool together had broken. Whilst the spool still worked I was concerned that it might fly apart losing vital components (it did not by the way). I emailed the seller, got a reply the next morning and received a new spool by post (to Jersey) within three days at no cost, with no arguments and with an apology. Since then I have used the strimmer (for about 80 hours) in a heavily brambled field with no problems. Changing the line was fiddly initially,(and to be fair to the "inadequate instructions" community) there were no instructions on how to do this. This was overcome by going on YouTube (other sites are available) and searching for "how to change strimmer line" or a similar phrase, I was offered the choice of a plethora of videos which showed how to do it, and inevitably an equal amount enticing me to view "epic fails" (whatever they are). As you may have gathered I am happy with both the product and service I received. On the service front I always take the view if I am still waiting for a reply from the seller it will not be helpful to put a review on. If they don't reply then obviously a one star review and a mysterious fire at their warehouse is the only appropriate way to get satisfaction.

Very, Very Good
This machine is awesome for the money. Just as you'd expect with such powerful machine that could be highly dangerous if used in the wrong way the instructions are almost useless! A good dose of common sense is required. Very easy to start once you get the hang of it, the strimmer goes through grass and the thickest bush with ease. I've used the normal nylon line to take down 2' high grass and mounted one of the steel brush cutter discs for the heavier stuff. The brush disc went through extremely thick thorn bushes very quickly and simply. I was really surprised to see how easy this thing makes clearing up the garden. An excellent investment we'll get lots of use from. Buy one!
