Shelly Plus 0-10V Dimmer | WiFi Smart Dimmer Switch | Dimmable Lights | Home Automation | Compatible with Alexa & Google Home | iOS Android App | No Hub Required

I have paired a couple of these with Reylax 24V dimmable LED drivers to control LED strip lights, and they have been excellent. I fitted them near the drivers in the loft above the rooms, and they have worked flawlessly for well over a year. Unlike the experiences of others who have left reviews, I find the dimming to be very smooth, with no noticeable steps in brightness - maybe the drivers or lights that other people used are the actual problem, not the Shelly dimmer. I like that you can set the speed at which the lights go from off to on and vice versa, ramping up (or down) over a few seconds. I also like that you can set a schedule of how bright the lights are - one of the rooms I used one in is a bathroom, and I have set the lights to come on at a low level overnight so as not to be blinding. I have them set turn on and off with a simple switch, although they can be set up to work with a push switch (press and hold to change the brightness) or two push switches (one to increase and one to decrease the brightness). I have these connected to Alexa, via the Shelly skill, and to Home Assistant. For the latter I used MQTT because they are not installed in the house where my Home Assistant server is located. Voice control with Alexa works well and instantaneously, as does control from Home Assistant. Like many Shelly devices, they can be set up to act as Bluetooth proxies in Home Assistant if they are on the same internal network. This does not work for me directly because of where they are, but I have set them up to run a script that connects to Bluetooth room temperature sensors and sends that data using MQTT, which is very useful. Overall, even though they are relatively expensive, I think they are excellent value for money for how they work and what they are capable of beyond they basic light control functions.

Works exactly as expected, very responsive, tiny... Just the job. I hid this in my ceiling rose allowing me control my 1-10v light with no dedicated low voltage wiring.

There are two types of 0/1-10v controllers: current sourcing (provides 10v supply) and current Sinking (requires 10v supply). This unit is current sinking, so requires the light controller to actively output 10v to this control unit, which returns 0-10v to control the dimming amount. My device to control requires a current sourcing input, so this Shelly dimmer is useless. It wouldn't have been a problem if Shelly had specified this, I could have just ordered something else.

This product was a perfect solution for my LED panel light. The LED panel was so much brighter than the fluorescent light it replaced. I powered up and configured both the software and Alexa control before installing the dimmer. I set it to boot up at 50% and can voice command it to 100% when needed.

I am controlling a roof fan over 0-10V. It took me some time to investigate how the installation should be done to get the output showing a 0-10V out put.

Interesting little item. I have it working with my android phone and/or with Alexa. You need to be a bit tech savvy. The brightness range is between maybe 10% and 100%. It won't turn the light completely off. So, your LED lights must supply the 10 volts dc to this device (ie: your fixture has a pink and a purple wire labeled dimming- and dimming+). Effectively this works as a variable resistor between these two wires. With open (infinite resistance) being full brightness and closed, dead short (zero resistance) being fully dimmed. It will remember the last brightness level if it loses power. My setup. I am controlling a quantity of 2 new 4' home depot fixtures with two led lamps each with one dimmer in my kitchen. The dimmer is installed in one fixture. They look like old florescent fixtures. 120 VAC goes from the existing wall switch to the fixtures and the dimmer. The dimming- and dimming+ from both fixtures (drivers/ ballasts) go to the 0-10 volt terminals on the dimmer. I downloaded the app "shelly smart control" to my android. I had to power cycle the lights for it to find my wifi router and set it up. After setup if you want to use Alexa you have to search for and enable the shelly smart control skill then link it to the app. That's it. It sounds complicated but if you just move along it kind of works itself out. So. The wall switch turns the lights on/off at their previous brightness and I control the brightness with my voice "Alexa lights 30%." or with the slider on the smart phone app. You can set up timers and schedules in the app or probably in Alexa also. I bought 2 because I thought I might need one go each fixture but I only needed one for both. Hope that helps.
