Is the arrowroot powered bleached, and if so, by what process?

Can I make deodorant with this arrowroot?

Yes. I use it along with baking soda, coconut oil, and shea butter to make mine. The arrowroot helps keep the deodorant solid. Too much baking soda causes irritation so I used arrowroot as a substitute.

What is the difference between arrowroot powder and arrowroot flour?

The pat answer is that flour is finer than powder. But I have tried both arrowroot powder and flour (from several makers) and can tell no difference between the two. You will notice the difference when dealing with coconut, the flour is very fine while the powder is course like table salt.

Is this a product that can be used alone to replace wheat flour in recipes or must there be something else added

As a direct replacement for wheat flour, we recommend using almond flour or coconut flour - both of which are available from Anthony's. Arrowroot flour is more often used as a thickening agent for stews, baking recipes, and more!Best, Anthony's Staff
