AMAZING!!
They arrived just as pictured in the Amazon product listing. The package included stickers, a screwdriver for the battery area, the buttons, the foam mats to put the buttons in, instructions, and a step by step guide to button teaching. Upon receiving the buttons, 2 of them didn’t work. I emailed the company and they were fast with a response. Turns out the batteries just got loose during shipping and after taking them out and putting them back in, the 2 buttons work now. The buttons are loud as long as you aren’t whispering or low voiced when talking into them, they’re easy to set up and easy for my dog to press.

RETURNED DUE TO CHANGE OF MIND DUE TO OUR DOGS BUT THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT!!! DON'T HESITATE!
We had to return this but not because of any issues with the product! We have frenchies and they chew on EVERYTHING so we decided this would not be a good fit. HOWEVER, you have got to know that this is such a neat product! For whomever this fits well with their doggos, will not regret it!

Good, but dead batteries
Unfortunately 2 of the 8 buttons I've opened to use are already dead and I've only had them about a week. No contact with water or aggressive pushing as my dogs aren't even using them consistently yet.

Comparison between Fluent pet and Hunger for words
I recorded both buttons at the same time and then played back to see how loud and clear they were. “Fluent pet speak up” button is louder and clearer but also more expensive. The “Hunger for words” button is larger, uses 2 AAA batteries. Both are easy to record. Both require a small Philips screwdriver to open the back to insert batteries. Fluent pet comes with batteries and screwdriver. Hunger for words does not provide screwdriver or batteries. Price reflects some of these differences. I removed a star for value because I do feel that Fluent Pet is very pricey.

Beautiful Concept — Disappointing Button Quality
I really wanted to love this system. The packaging is impressive and feels high-end. The mat system is also thoughtfully designed. I love that you can choose colorful or neutral options, and the way the mats interlock is genuinely smart. The buttons fit snugly into the mats and don’t feel like they’ll pop out, which is great. I also appreciate that you can separate the mats and place buttons around the house, like near the door or water bowl, and then group them together once the learner understands them. Unfortunately, the buttons themselves are the problem. They feel small and somewhat cheaply made, and the functionality is extremely inconsistent. I’ve ordered two separate boxes now, and both had multiple buttons that either wouldn’t record properly or didn’t work at all. That’s not a one-time fluke. For a product priced at a premium level, the hardware should feel more solid and reliable. It’s frustrating because the concept and layout are excellent, but the execution of the actual buttons falls short. One small note: when ordering a 12-pack, only a couple of blank stickers were included. It would be helpful to receive more customizable labels, especially at that quantity. The idea is fantastic, and the system design is smart. But until the button quality improves, it’s hard to fully recommend.

My cats and I love this!!
I love being able to communicate with my cats!! One picked up the buttons very quickly (he is food motivated to the max) and the other is still learning to press them but understands that touching them means she gets things. I probably gave them too many buttons too fast but with consistent daily practice they are coming around really well!! Decide where you want all 12 buttons first so you're not changing placement while trying to teach them. Introducing 2 cats to these, I also have 2 treat buttons and have to do individual practice with each of them. But this is a great product!!

Talking Buttons are a Game-Changer
I wish these had been invented decades ago--I wonder what my other wonderful dogs might have said to me. The product is good quality and there is ample customer support. I had one button go flat (out of several packages of these I've purchased) and the seller promptly sent me several new batteries for it, free of charge. My boy races for his buttons first thing every morning and starts communicating. It's a lot of fun for both of us. And it can be eye-opening at times: I had been working at the computer for a while when I suddenly heard "Mom. All done. Play." Need I say more?

Easy set up, easy to use
My 3 month old puppy picked this up almost immediately. They only arrived yesterday and she already has learned to hit "play" if she wants me to engage in play with her. I trained her by withholding the toy then hitting the button while also saying the word "play" several times. I then stopped hitting the button and she quickly realized that if she hit it play would start back up. The only issue is she's struggling to hit the button every time and gets really frustrated. If she's really close then I'll sneakily hit it for her so she doesn't feel defeated.

We're still in the learning stage, but these are great buttons. I'm excited thinking about the possibility of having a "discussion" with my dog in the future and learning more about what she thinks about.
