She and I have both lost a son, and both of us have a sword piercing our heart. So far it still looks gold. The chain is a little too delicate, but a standard chain. It has held up well. I've been wearing it continuously for over a month. It gets tangled overnight with my other necklaces that I wear, and the chain has stood up to that twisting around. I have noticed that the gold of the chain is not as bright as it was when first purchased, but that is to be expected. I plan to replace the chain when I can afford a more sturdy one. I would buy another of these necklaces, but they are out of stock.
