Can i use cfl bulbs in this? we use them in more or less every other light we have, but anyone know if they actually wouldn't work in this?

They do make cfl bulbs that fit these lights. I currently have led bulbs in them.

Is 20" in width with or without the glass shades ?

Can the shades be replaced with 4x4 shades? I found some mercury glass shades I would like to switch out

This fixture takes a 2 1/4" fitter glass and the glass would need to be necklace (no lip on the glass).
