I ordered this strap for my Casio GR-8900 G-Shock watch, as that was a model listed as being compatible. The 'urban camo' design looked great and I thought it would make a nice change up from the standard Casio black, although I should note that the design does not carry over to the strap keeper, which remains plain black. The strap arrived with some accessories. There was a spring bar tool and six replacement spring bars. Three have a 1.44mm body diameter with narrow end pins and three have a 1.74mm body diameter with fat-bodied end pins. These were all enclosed together in a small clear tube. I easily removed the original strap, not with the rather poorly constructed spring bar tool included in the kit, but using my Bergeon model 6767, which excels at the task with its fine tipped end able to easily grab the ridges on the spring bar to be able to compress the spring. Wanting to re-use the original Casio spring bars (body diameter 1.96mm), as these were designed to best fit the holes in the plastic case of the watch and reduce the possibility of damage, whilst these fitted in the replacement strap, there was no way I could get the pins to fit correctly. I then tried the fatter of the two size of replacement pins but again, the ends would not locate in both spring bar holes at the same time. Finally, after considerable trouble trying to get the replacement strap to fit, the only combination where the spring bars sat correctly was when using the narrowest bodied spring bars supplied in the kit. But with the ends of these pins located, it was clear to see they were pulled down at an angle and didn't sit very well between the lugs. The watch may drop of my wrist at any point with them like this, so once I'd taken the photos for this review, I removed the strap from the watch. Unfortunately, and despite my best efforts, the case had also been damaged around the holes when trying the different combinations as the strap had not been the simple 'drop-in replacement' that I had been expecting, which is a shame as these watches are quite expensive now and some in my collection are not made any more. I think the issue was that the centre of the strap hole sat slightly proud of the centre of the holes in the lugs. Perhaps the manufacturer needs to remove material from the part that fits against the watch, so it can sit 'lower', closer to the watch body and the pins actually fit correctly. Anyway, I'm now strapped for ideas and back to wearing the original.

Great strap but returned so I can reorder a red strap. Blue didn't work with my G Shock.
