5 star
The story starts with Ayana, a model stuck in an exploitative contract she can’t escape, and Jordan, who needs a fake marriage to unlock his inheritance and secure his company. Their arrangement is strictly business—until emotions and complications start creeping in. Things get even more intense with Vuk, Jordan’s best man: a powerful, reclusive billionaire who avoids people but has secretly loved Ayana from afar. Out of loyalty to Jordan, he hides his feelings and even acts like he dislikes her, but the more time they’re forced together, the harder it becomes to ignore the connection between them. Everything unravels at the wedding, leading to betrayal, tragedy, and a fight for survival that pulls all of them into a much darker world involving danger, kidnapping, and powerful enemies. I really enjoyed this book. It explores loyalty, betrayal, sign language representation, family trauma, and even asexual identity in a meaningful way. The emotional tension between the characters is what really carries the story. I can’t wait to read the next book.

OMG, best book in the Kings of Sin series yet!!!!
I’ve got to say it again. This is the best book in the Kings of Sin series so far, which definitely made up for the disappointment I felt for the last book. I was, at first, a bit skeptical after learning a bit more about these characters in King of Sloth, but LOVE how this was all executed. I enjoyed the Brotherhood aspect of it, where it has an underworld theme brought in, and enjoyed Dominics brother coming back in for some action, which really makes me hope that we get a book on Dominic’s brother sometime in the future, even if it’s not in this series per se. Though the beginning was a bit slow and, honestly, unnecessary, I did enjoy how afterwards everything was, somehow, easily woven together where there’s not forced proximity but more of a natural one as the FMC is engaged to the MMC best friend. It was different, for me, for Huang, which is exactly what I like and made me love this book so much. The main characters are strangely relatable and funny, where Vuk is an interesting and mysterious character that, even in the end, you still can’t seem to anticipate. It was also quit and interesting turn of events when it came to the reveal in the end, which left me shocked because I honestly thought someone was being revived from the dead as being the perpetrator wanting Vuk dead. (I really hope that Huang writes a book on Dominics brother because I’d love to see something done with him because of how important he was in this book. I don’t even care if it’s in the King’s of Sin series. I think it’d be better if it was done an Ana Huang’s style, based on a romance-mafia series that is done around Brotherhood characters maybe.)

For me Ana Huang can do no wrong!!
Absolutely loved this, Vuk and Ayana are chef's kiss together.. I love the slow build up and while there is a lot of tension and teasing the smut is less but oh so smutty. I really enjoyed the story, I love a thic book but what I love more is a thic book you can't put down. At every chapter something was happening and I felt immersed into the story. Ana.. We need a mafia romance series. . Vuk, Dante, Christian even Alex.. Don't get me wrong, I love all of Ana's men but those 3 just have something dark and I personally really enjoy this. I can't wait for the last 2 King of Gluttony and King of Lust. The seven deadly sins theme party was gold. I was smiling from ear to ear 😏😏😏 5 stars from me ✨

Not my favourite ana book 🙈
I did enjoy this book, however with all the hype surrounding it I just didn't really think it was that good. I didn't vibe with the main characters as much as I thought I would. I didn't feel like there was much of a Romance, it was very plot heavy. I was really upset that there was no scene between Vuk and Christian seems as though we got one with Stella. For name dropping her so much, the scene with her in felt pointless. Also need a Roman book instantly. That man screams morally grey and I'm here for it 😍

Review, no spoilers
King of Envy by Ana Huang was a full, effortless, 5-star read for me. Vuk and Ayana? Absolutely phenomenal. Vuk is peak morally-gray perfection, intense, and obsessively protective, but somehow also soft in the “only for her” way that rewires your brain chemistry. And Ayana? I adore her. Smart, resilient, grounding, and fiery in the best possible way. Their chemistry could power an entire city. Probably two. The tension between them is chef’s kiss: slow-burn but electrically charged, emotional but sharp, and full of those moments where you have to pause and whisper, “Oh no, I’m falling for him too.” And the plot surrounding them? Addictive. Dark edges, high stakes, delicious intensity, Ana Huang really said “no crumbs, only full-course meal.” Their dynamic is what makes the book exceptional. Every scene feels loaded with meaning, attraction, and that irresistible pull that makes you read way past bedtime. They’re messy, loyal, magnetic, and so perfectly matched it’s almost disrespectful to every other fictional couple trying to compete. Easily 5 stars.

I love Ana huang and I love the kings of sin series, it has quickly become one of my favourite series. I absolutely loved vuk and ayanas story and the fact that we finally get to see the man who gives nobody else any words voluntarily give them up for her!! Honestly obsessed! Just as much as he is😉😍

This might be my favourite in the series.
Just a quick sidenote, Vuk obviously speaks Serbian, and he's called "the Serb", but he grew up in the US. Not sure what the significance of it is in the end, feels more like a hook. A more thorough explanation would have been nice. Okay, so Ayana's engagement to Jordan kind of throws one out of it in the beginning, and it's a good hook because the author doesn't explain right away what's going on and makes us work for it throughout the story. Regarding Vuk, not sure that I got the explanation of why he doesn't speak to people, and also Jordan's explanation regarding the engagement seems a bit weird as the author never hints that his family might be so closed-minded. In fact, his grandmother seems like a woman with the nerves of steel. Overall, quite liked the book, and I wish I didn't need to go all the way to book 5 to find one I liked so much (I was very close to ending the series after the last book but figured how bad could one more be).

vuk and ayana 🫶🏾
4.75⭐️ The books in this series can be hit or miss for me (we don’t talk about book 2 🫠🙅🏾♀️) but this one was a Hit! I loved Vuk & Ayana 💞🫶🏾 His dry sense of humour that only an Eastern European can pull off - the author managed to capture that well. A grump slowly being coaxed out of his shell by the woman he’s secretly obsessed with- yes please 😝 Ayana’s classy elegance. She’s a queen. And I instantly thought of Liya Kebede (sadly for me she’s the only famous Ethiopian super model I’m aware of - but at least I’m aware of her and clearly showing my age 😂) Shadow, you stole the show and bumped up the star rating a smidge. Do I love cats in books - yes. Do I love them even more when their owner begrudgingly takes them in and pretends not to like the - ABSOLUTELY 🥹😂. Is the book cover stunning? I think so 🤩 Overall, this book has a 👍🏾 from me.

I miss them already
Has been a while since I felt the need to leave a review after reading a book, but this one just made me feel like I'm not ready to say goodbye to Ayane and Vuk. They were well constructed characters, with flaws and charms, sooo well matched together, it hurts! Not that I can imagine anyone being better for Ayane than Vuk, or the other way around.... but together they are better, they are the best version of themselves. I just wanted to say that I will remember their story for a long time! Book 5 just rekindled my obssession with Ana Huang!

She’s done it again!
I’ve read every book this woman has ever written and she just gets better and better! The dark side to this book is something I didn’t think I needed from Ana but boy did she prove me wrong! What a ride this book has been! I’ve waited an entire year for this book and the fact that I’ve read it in under 24 hours leaves me feeling a little sad I now am back to waiting for the next book. I always knew Vuk would be my favourite mysterious, dark and loveable character in this series, and he did not disappoint! Morally grey men are just my kind of bread and butter!
