These work well, feel like a good qualityโฆ
We donโt have a huge yard, but we do have a sizable yard on a lake, and we sometimes walk around the neighborhood. I wanted something we could use to communicate if we went outside without our cell phones. Over the years, Iโve bought several walkie-talkie sets, but for one reason or another, I could never get the others to work properly. They either didnโt have enough range or just didnโt function the way I expected, and I ended up donating or throwing them away. These are the first ones Iโve actually gotten to work well. I think part of the issue with the older ones was that they required regular batteries, whereas these are rechargeable. I really like that there are two ways to charge them. You can plug the cord directly into the unit, or you can place them in the charging base so they charge together. Thereโs also a light that indicates when theyโre fully charged, which is helpful. The buttons arenโt very intuitive at first, so you do need to read the instructions to understand what each one does. Once you get the hang of it, itโs not a problem. They came set to the same channel out of the box, and that channel worked well. After reading through the instructions, I also liked that they include weather information and multiple channels and frequencies to help avoid interference. We didnโt experience any interference, and the sound was very clear in our yard and even a little way up the street. For our purposes, thatโs more than enough. At first, I pressed one button and wasnโt sure it was working, but once I realized which button to use to talk, it worked fine. I just need to get more comfortable with which buttons to use to talk and respond. Overall, these work better than any walkie-talkies Iโve tried in the past. I like the way they look and feel. They seem substantial, not flimsy. The belt clip was easy to install, and it came with a small Allen wrench to attach it, which made setup simple. I havenโt tested the full distance they advertise, but Iโm impressed that they work so well around the yard, especially since so many others Iโve tried didnโt. They charge quickly, and I really like having the indicator that shows when theyโre charged. Overall, I would recommend these.

Good value, reasonable quality. Take them on your cruise ship!
I'm always a little hesitant to order something from an unfamiliar brand, but I was pleasantly surprised with this walkie talkie set. My family takes walkie talkies on cruise ships, which can be a great way to communicate when you have no wifi or phone service. It can depend a bit on the ship, when it comes to the range. But these were a good choice. Battery life is good, design is somewhat rugged, and they have some good features. We haven't taken our trip yet, but I'll come edit my review if we have any major problems. I'm happy with these at the moment. 5 stars.

Durable, Easy to Use, and Fun for Both Work and Play
These heavy-duty walkie talkies are solid performers and surprisingly versatile. They feel durable in hand, with a rugged design that seems capable of handling drops and outdoor use. The oversized PTT (push-to-talk) buttons are easy to press, even with gloves on, which makes them practical for work environments โ but also simple enough for kids to use. Battery life has been good so far. The rechargeable setup is convenient, and USB-C charging makes it easy to power them up without hunting for specialty cables. For casual use, they last plenty long between charges. Sound quality is clear at typical neighborhood or open-field distances. While the advertised maximum range is quite large, real-world range will always depend on terrain and obstacles. For family use, yard play, camping, or general communication around a property, they perform well. The NOAA weather channel feature is a nice extra, especially for outdoor activities. It adds a layer of usefulness beyond just basic two-way communication. In terms of pricing, rugged rechargeable walkie talkie sets typically range from $30 to $80, depending on durability and features. Based on similar models, this sits in the mid-range category. Overall, they work reliably and are simple enough that even kids enjoy using them. Whether for light job-site communication or just backyard adventures, they get the job done.

Great!
Iโve been using this set of walkie talkies for a mix of outdoor projects and aroundโtheโhouse communication, and theyโve turned out to be surprisingly capable. The first thing I noticed is how solid they feel without being overly heavy. The reinforced clip and ribbed design make them easy to grab and carry, and they hold up well when Iโm moving around or bending over. The oversized buttons are a huge plus because I can operate them with gloves on without fumbling. The battery life has been excellent. I can get through a long day without worrying about recharging, and the USBโC option makes it simple to top them off when Iโm done. The audio quality is clear, even when thereโs background noise, and the microphone picks up my voice cleanly. I also like having the NOAA channels available so I can check weather conditions when Iโm outside or working in the yard. The range has been solid for my needs. Iโve used them across a neighborhood block, on trails, and between the house and backyard, and the signal stays strong and understandable. The dual PTT buttons are convenient, and the keyโlock feature keeps me from accidentally switching channels. The one drawback for me is the belt clip. It works once itโs attached, but it requires screws to install, and the small hardware makes the setup more tedious than it needs to be. Once itโs on, it stays put, but I do wish the clip design were a little more straightforward. Overall, these walkie talkies have been reliable, easy to use, and comfortable to carry. They offer strong performance for everyday communication, whether Iโm working outside, coordinating with someone in another part of the house, or heading out on a hike.

Average functionality-poor NOAA performance-not heavy duty-OK value for it's performance
We got these to communicate across our property when doing chores. We did love the design with a little bigger than pocket sized, big buttons, rechargeable and vivid color. We got full communication coverage on our property..about 10 acres. While these are called heavy duty I feel they are about a solid medium duty-definitely not like those on the construction sites. The functions were straight forward and intuitive-nothing spectacular or awe inspiring. It was a benefit to have several methods of charging as we may charge in the outbuilding or in the home at any given time. Again the sound quality was OK with some interference but not so bad that you cannot understand the message. The really disappointing feature was the poor or lack of NOAA reception. Weather is nice to have when things in the field are sketchy and weather is rolling in-it helps us prepare our cleanup/wrap ups. Overall-this is just an average adult walkie talkie that is right priced for it's performance.

Nice set of walkie talkies for a nice price
NXGKET BD-01 Heavy Duty Walkie Talkies is a set of well made walkie talkies for a nice price. The walkie talkie set came in a nice tuck in box. The set came with 2 walkie talkies, charging cradle with 2 slots, screw set for the clip, clips (assembly required), USB cable and user manual. The user manual was easy to understand, but some of the icons for the buttons were hard to decipher. The belt clip is another hard one. It's a good thing I wasn't planning to use it with the belt clip, but they require assembly. I would of thought it was pre-assembled or slide-in, but it requires screws. Not only does it require screws, it's the hex key type and a hex key is provided. Also, even if you don't use the clip, it's got these nodules on the back of the walkie talkie that I accidently touch and it's not comfortable. The interesting thing about this walkie talkie is that the backlight is white, but it's amber when you're charging it. Menu is pretty intuitive and easy to figure out. Sound is clear and easy to understand. Mic picks up sound well. Flashlight is decently bright, but doesn't work unless the walkie talkie is actually on. Unlike walkie mode thou, the weather band didn't pick up anything. Nothing was on all 11 channels. If you're looking for a basic walkie talkie that has clear and understandable sound at an affordable price, this should be an option to consider.

Nice radios about a mile range average use, normal to other radios range of this type
Seem like good durable radios. They're a little larger in size than most of the other sets you can buy. So they also have some easier to use buttons like push to talk option in the front of the radio also if you have this just laying on your seat or counter to be able to use it without having to pick it up. The battery life seems a bit longer than the smaller radios of this type. Very go the same distance range as other small radios that I have tried. I get about a mile with intermediate blockage, what I would consider normal use. All the buttons function well and the screen is easy to read. The radio turns up loud enough and sounds very clear on the loudest setting. Overall it seems like a good value for your money. It includes belt clips for optional belt storage. Also includes a dual cradle that you can just set these in at home base to leave them on and keep them topped off battery charged.Another bonus it actually includes the wall USB plug charger in addition to the USBC charge cables.

Decent rugged radios
The first thing I did is throw it in a bucket of water - because they say it's water resistant to 30m? really? 30m is deep...like...deep enough to be a problem for most electronics so a bucket of water should be a joke to them. One star off here. It worked but water will ingress the housing and cause the radio to become muted and much lower in volume. Lucky if you let it dry out it will return to normal, I left my water logged one overnight and it came back to "new" sounding again phew! Still if you announce they are good to 30 they should do a lot better than absorbing water to sound like charlie brown afterwards - still credit for surviving water ie: the angry employee on the construction site that tosses the radio into the muddy puddle? yeah it will survive just rinse it off and let it dry out. At least you get to save the radio. Range now. Actually good for construction sites but that's about it. it penetrates well, but distance is a factor. In testing we left one 5 streets over and were talking through everything. Like imagine a line cutting through a few houses and a school "as the crow flies" and it worked just fine - so on a construction site through the 10 floors it should be alright as well. Total range I was able to get about 1.5ish KM driving away from the other house and talking before it cut out. So again on the job site these should be fine for most small/medium jobs. Not really for music festivals and more for job sites. Tough exterior plastics, buttons are soft and nice to push, simple channel selection and usage even with gloves. These really aren't bad if you just need some quick radios to communicate across a small site and need them to be "weather and employee resistant" along with modern usbc plugs and charging ability. NOTE: for similar prices if you care less about the 30m underwater ability and just care about splash proof for rain you can get 4 packs of radios that work longer range for like festivals.

very good quality walkie talkie and excellent lifeline when kids are out playing
As our kid got to the age where they can go to nearby playground by themselves, but yet not the age to get a phone of their own, a long range walkie talkie would do the job. This walkie talkie fit our need with range and heavy duty, I picked it up to try it out with our kids. This walkie talkie came with two units with charging cradle with charging cord, as well as instruction manual. Powering up the units, it automatically connected with two units set at same channel. We also had short range kids walkie talkie and when change the same channel, it picked up as well, in short range. When tested out of long distance, within 150m, we got pretty good connection with clear sounds. Over that 150m, connections are still there, but the sound does break up a bit. Our nearby playground happens to be about jus over 150m, our kids at playground with this walkie talkie and me at home with other unit able to convers clearly. This walkie talkie has other features, such as able to pick up NOAA channel, but I have not yet tried that. Also, it has LED light to light up nearby. It also comes with PTT earphone connection point. It does not say but with rubber covering, it does seem to be weather proof. It also has large rechargeable battery that will last a long time on single charge. Overall, very good quality walkie talkie and excellent lifeline when kids are out playing

Great budget walkie talkies
I have a few different set of not branded walkie talkies. This is a great device for multiple different scenarios. Such as camping, going places with no phone reception and a back up for when the grid goes down. Useful in many scenarios as has lots of channels and. An a way to make your convo private. The item appears very robust, and could withstand being dropped many times. It is made of thick plastic and rubber. The rechargeable dock is awesome. Much better then always having to pull out cords and plug it in. Also good way to store the item and keep organized. The item has surprisingly good range. The audio is quite clear and loud, allowing for good communication. Definately a great item to have around the house. Happy with my item.

Simple Walkie Talkies
This review is part of the Amazon Vine Review Program, but I aim to be honest and unbiased. I donโt get paid, I review as a hobby. These are heavy duty walkie talkies designed for outdoor and general communication use. They are rechargeable and include a charging dock as well as Type C charging, which makes them easy to keep powered. The build is solid and they feel more rugged than basic entry level radios, with multiple features intended for outdoor or emergency situations. The range and performance can vary depending on terrain and obstacles, but they work fine for basic line of sight communication. The controls are straightforward, though there are a few extra functions that take a bit of time to get used to. They are practical for camping, group activities, or job sites, but they are not somthing that always performs consistently in more difficult environments.

Pretty loud
Last year, our baby was born, and my wife and I took turns caring for him. Sometimes I didn't hear him cry, but my wife did, and we would tell each other what was wrong. However, sometimes I was upstairs, and he was downstairs, which was inconvenient. So this walkie-talkie solved our problem. When the baby needs care, he can use the walkie-talkie to notify me, and when I hear it, I can go upstairs to check on the baby. It's so convenient! I never thought it would be so easy. I just need to carry it with me; it's much more convenient than a cell phone. Sometimes when I don't have my cell phone with me, I don't know what's happening. With the walkie-talkie, I can immediately call or be notified and go directly to take care of the baby. The walkie-talkie has simple functions with only a few buttons. After reading the manual, I knew how to use it. The battery life is also quite long, so I don't need to charge it often. The speaker volume is also loud enough, so I don't have to worry about not being able to hear it.
