Authentic, Japanese miso with high quality freeze dried ingredients. The base packets of miso are all the same, then add toppings of your choice from the packets! So easy— no measuring miso paste. Value is worth it for authentic product that’s this yummy. Miso is sooo good for the immune system too!! Tip: don’t add too much water

The other day I ended up on Marukome's youtube channel, where they have a series of animated, family-oriented commercials for their products. They're actually so well done I cried like a baby, but miso soup is a delicious addition to a meal anyway so I added it to my Amazon impulse buys to try out the brand. It's actually a great value for the price. 24 cups or small bowls of soup (made with miso paste, and not a powder), with four six-packs of different garnishes. (Green onion, tofu, fried tofu, and wakame seaweed.) Given that this is a Japanese company and a Japanese product, the instructions are, obviously, in Japanese. I do not speak Japanese but it's pretty intuitive and easy to figure out if you've ever had any instant soup before, and otherwise you can google it. Just add boiling water, basically. I think the measurement is supposed to be 2/3 a cup, but I have large stoneware mugs that I just fill up almost completely, and the flavor is rich so it isn't watered down at all. Perfect to have with rice, and a good filling side dish for other meals. I didn't grow up with miso at all, but it gives you a sweet, nostalgic feeling that I would equate to chicken soup for Americans.
