This Orecare Whitening Toothpaste was among some of the best "off brand" toothpastes I've tried. Usually you get whitening OR you get breath freshening, but you don't often get both in the same product. Orecare actually did a good job at providing both benefits. I actually love that it doesn't include parabens, fluoride, peroxide, or artificial flavors and dyes. The flavor was very minty, but almost like a spearmint, which I like much better than typical mint toothpastes, and it helped to remove bad breath and keep it fresh afterward. It foamed up well during use, so I only needed a small pea-sized dot to cover my whole mouth. The only downside here is that the price is pretty high for what's essentially a travel-sized tube; $21 is much more than I would pay typically for even a full-sized toothpaste.

I tried it a few times and my regular Colgate has nothing on it. It has calcium carbonate, an abrasive, as main ingredient and is Spearmint flavored. It has additionally Chinese herbal medicine extracts from her plants like Sarcandra glabra, potential benefits like anti-inflammatory, Lonicera Japonica (Japanese honeysuckle) also anti-inflammatory, Chrysanthemum indicum (anti inflammatory, antibacterial), and menthol. The price, though. $21.....seriously? And that is even from before the 125% tax.
