Great quality - my students use it to study joints and the skeletal system. I have two complaints: 1. It would be nice if ligaments were different colors from other connective tissues (like tendons, for example). You can see distinction between the fibers and placement, of course, but it would be helpful to have an additional level of visual separation. There is a lot going on in this joint, so it would be super helpful to be able to see details a bit better. 2. Minor, but I really wish they just included a printed key. 3B bothers to print a postcard with the QR code, so why not just give a key in addition to the QR code that is already on the model base? I will have to make my own key because not all of us want apps for everything (students included). The app is fiddly, and as far as I can tell, 3B doesn't even offer a PDF key on their website for these models.

As an orthopedic surgeon I need to help non-medically trained individuals understand the source of their shoulder pain. This model is easy to use and displays the right amount of detail to cover the common problems that I treat.

It's well-made, but the ligaments are not removable and range of motion is severely limited. The model is also not removable from the stand. For showing the shape and location of bones and ligaments it works well, but for my purposes (teaching yoga anatomy workshops) it's not useful. I need to show what happens when arms are lifted overhead, with and without lateral rotation. I will order a model with removable ligaments that claims it can demonstrate all directions of movement.

I teach surgical procedures to Surgical Technology students and many of my students are "hands-on" learners. Having this item for students to see the muscles and how they attach to the different bones.
