Having owned a candy store, and having a “licorice wall” I consider myself a connoisseur of licorice—especially black licorice, my favorite!I must say that this licorice may be the best black licorice I’ve ever had! It is thick, soft, tender, tasty, not greasy and not sticky. It’s just right.My only criticism may be—and this is obviously very subjective—is that it might be a little sweet. But not off-putting in any way.If you’re looking for that stuff that smells like ammonia, this ain’t it! This is the good stuff!
