Green Butterfly Freeze Dried Salmon Treats for Dogs and Cats, 5 oz

I have been adding this to my dog's food as a topper and using as treats for a few years now. It is a fantastic product that I not only recommend to others for their dogs and cats, but have purchased as a pet gift on multiple occasions. Limiting carbs is important for dogs and cats' health and weight. Using Green Butterfly Salmon and Beef treats helps a GREAT DEAL - there is no added garlic or other ingredient like other brands that has the potential to harm your pet. Absolutely love this and so does my dog!

I bought this for my Son's dog who has food allergies and I thought this would be a good treat to give him. I was disappointed at this product because the pieces were like almost ground up. Basicaly you couldn't really give him a piece for a treat. So they said they would just sprinkle it on him food instead,

My dog loves salmon, including this one. I love salmon too; but this product, not even a little. The 1st bag arrived with almost 1/2 of it pulverized. I had seen comments about this in reviews, but thought it was probably more a handling and shipping issue. So I willingly tried again. Unfortunately, I have found that this is a consistent problem. Yes, I can add the powder to her food, but that is not what I am purchasing. Really...what do they do that results in a powder as fine as sugar? And the most recent bag has an unacceptable safety issue. Bones! I understand that with any fish, you need to watch for bones. But these, as pictured, are 2 inch bones, readily viewable. Is there no quality inspection? So I am expected to pay the going rate to get a bag, 1/2 of it pulverized and the remainder I need to inspect to make sure it is safe. No thanks. There are other brands that are reasonably priced, produced in the USA or Canada, come with no more than 10% as broken pieces (none of it pulverized!), and that I don't need to inspect.

my yorkie has food allergies, the only protein she is allowed to eat is salmon. trying to find a salmon dog treat without any extra additives was not easy. i a long search i found green butterfly brands salmon dog treats. it is all natural freeze dried salmon made in the usa. chrissy loved them the first time she tried them. green butterfly are the only treats i buy her now. they do come with some of the skin on them, but it is very easy to remove if your furbaby has some teeth missing and has some difficulty eating harder food. the pieces are also easy to break about to make them smaller for smaller dogs ( the biggiest pieces is only 1/2 inch square).

My dog likes these, I like a variety of healthy treats. It's too bad for the money that they arrive a majority of crumbs. Can't justify ordering more for that. I do order dehydrated beef lung cubes often and actually this same day a shipment of them arrived. No product damage. Maybe better packaging would help, but let down because I was hopeful.

Absolutely love this company and every single treat that they put out is amazing. They're one ingredient. Some of them you can give to both cats and dogs. They're made in the USA. They're yummy! My dogs can't get enough of them. They're the best ever.

I bought these to give to my dog while potty training. I have a very small bread of dog of about 14 weeks of age. When I initially got them, I recognized that I would have to break the chunks up a little to size them for him. I soon realized I also needed to removed the hard scaly looking layer or since he had trouble chewing them properly. (I do not think this would be necessary for a medium-large dog at all). He likes the taste of most of the pieces, but some have a slightly less dried out consistency and he actually rejects those pieces. These do seem to be what is advertised and donate to a good cause. I would just hesitate to recommend these for smaller dogs all things considered. If you don't mind the extra work to break them up to smaller pieces and discard the less dry pieces, then they seem healthy enough for small dogs as well. I just feel like I throwing away a portion of my money is all. Overall, I think this is a quality, healthy option without downsides I can identify for dogs larger than my own.
