📁Context: I use this with my PS5 via the usb dongle attached to a usb hub slotted into the front usb-c port. I would recommend this, as putting the usb-a dongle into the rear ports expose it to a lot of heat coming off the system, which causes connection problems. I go into the specifics below: ✅PROS: ⬆️Hall effect sensors are a big pro. After using the controller for about a year, not once have I had a hint of stick drift. As I would have bought 2 standard ps controllers so far due to drift, this thing is already saving me money. ⬆️Having both a usb-a dongle and cable support for play is nice. You can even have the controller charging while you play. ⬆️The remappable buttons are awesome and don’t require the pc software to set up if you don’t want to. Also, since there are only 4, I rarely hit the wrong one by accident. ⬆️Came with a nice travel case, weights, and quality of life accessories. You’d hope you would for 200, and these have held up well for me. 🟡MID/EXPECTED: ➡️The durability is as expected. Hasn’t broken yet, but I have not stress tested it in this regard. ➡️It fits well in the hand, and the addable weight allow expected modibilty. Trigger stops are awesome as well, but I am putting this here as it is as described. ➡️Buttons, bumpers, touchpad, and triggers are good quality as described. No mis-inputs or breaks after about 1 year. As expected and described. ❌CONS: ⬇️The wireless connection has had issues for me. Initially no problem, but I slotted it into the rear usb-a port and I fear the dongle suffered some heat damage from the port due to the PS5’s bad port placement next to the heat vents. Sometimes, it will disconnect and reconnect at random, but usually only once every 2-3 weeks, so I’m gonna say it is ‘uncommon’ here. ⚠️Sometimes, after reconnecting, you cannot input. To fix this, switch the controller to another console mode with the toggle, then back. This fixes it usually. ⬇️VERY slow to charge, taking about 5-6 hours for me for only about 8-10 hours of play time. While you can play while charging, the disconnection problems described above are more frequent when charging. Battery quality seems alright though. ✨SUMMARY: Honestly it is a very good controller and one of the few with Hall effect for the PS5. Some of the features are great, others as expected, but there are a few drawbacks. However, I would buy this again but most likely wait for a sale. Happy gaming lads, hope this helps! UPDATE: I have since bought a second one of these, and my rating stays the same. Notably, For PS5, under the conditions mentioned previously, these controllers are prone to disconnect mid gameplay when synced using the USB dongle on rare occasion, with the quick fix being to switch the controller off, and then on again. From what I can tell, this is due to the console thinking the controller is a PS4 one due to a software hiccup with the dongle and controller communicating. I have not been able to reproduce the issue when using a cabled connection.

I was tired of replacing my Sony controllers every year or so when eventually stick drift made games unplayable. I researched a few options and Hall-effect sticks seemed the best. The Nacon was more expensive than Sony but offered Hall-effect and many customizing features I wanted, so I ordered one. The product was delivered in very nice packaging inside a secure box. The controller feels solid with no flex or creaking. You can adjust the weight, the stick thickness, and thumb pads to make the device very comfortable. Then you can connect the controller to a PC with their software to customize the stick and trigger sensitivity into a unique profile - with four different profiles saved onto the controller. Each can be assigned a light pattern around the right stick for quick identification. Easily switch profiles in-game with a button press. All buttons can be reconfigured or duplicated, and after two years I’ve never had it glitch. I love this controller. The Hall-effect joysticks are smooth and DO NOT DRIFT! The unit is slightly bigger than OEM, with textured rubberized grips and pull-adjustable triggers. I have adult-sized hands and the fit means no cramping after hours of gaming. Making changes to stick sensitivity zones, trigger sensitivity, changing weights or thumb pads - anything you want - takes only moments. It is well-designed and solid. I was able to create profiles for FPS games which immediately improved my gameplay and K/D ratio. This controller is asymmetric like XBox ones - the left stick is outside and the D-pad inside - which took a few minutes to get used to. But it allows your right thumb access to the D-pad, which can occasionally be a big advantage. It has many more buttons which can be individually configured. I have my right trigger mirrored on my left grip in one profile so the right hand only has to focus on the stick, while the left ring & little fingers pull the trigger. There are a couple downsides, the biggest being Sony’s blocking other manufacturers from enabling vibration functions - so on a PS5 there is no haptic feedback. This could be a problem if you rely on vibration for hit-markers. The controller does have vibration, so hopefully Sony will start licensing its use. It also requires a USB dongle to connect, so can’t be used to power the PS5 on. My TV’s HDMI connection does the job, but it is a little annoying. The battery life is phenomenal, at least 9-10 hours of gaming before it gets low. Sound quality through the controller to headphones is equal to OEM with no lag or distortion. Buttons click smoothly and quietly. The sticks - OMG what a difference!!! I can set the center zone for very slow movement, then shift to higher response towards the outside. The feel is smooth and after 2 years I still have no drift. None! What a joy to never worry about fine control in active situations. My teammates were getting tired of me occasionally saying how much I loved this thing. Then one of them bit the bullet and got one of his own. He loved it, too, and we started comparing settings in chat. Now all 5 of us play with them. Combat is easier, shots are made more quickly and accurately, and as a team we have advanced since the transition. TLDR - this controller is an immediate and impactful upgrade from OEM, functions very well, and has survived two years of constant gaming with no obvious wear - and NO STICK DRIFT!

The controller is great. There is no mobile app. No app on the ps5. And the Mac version of the app just won’t let you open it. Then when you bootcamp your Mac to run windows that app gives you internal server connection issues. Build quality is holding up well in the face of a lot of playtime. The Hall effect sticks feel a little weird, like the tension of them has a built in exponential response curve but I’ve gotten used to it. The back buttons are good. Idk. I’ve tried a bunch of different pro controllers. This one is like the Toyota Camry of them. It could use improvements but the core features are there and they work reliably. The software bit, the inability to turn the console on with the remote, the need to flip a switch and use a dongle for Bluetooth mode. Those little things are incredibly annoying for a supposedly officially best buddies with Sony type deal. Third party mod controllers do that stuff better, they just don’t have the manufacturing resources to make quality hardware.

It came in no time. I love the feel of the weights that are easily changeable. from no weights up to 16 grams. It works great and comes with 4 extra buttons that can be programmed for other operations. The controller feels great and works great, but about a month in, the R2 button started sticking really badly, and I had to keep pulling it backout while trying to still use the controller. I have to send it back and get a replacement. Not sure if this is going to be a problem weakness for this particular controller, or if it's just my controller and some bad luck? I'm getting another Revolution controller because of how well they feel and work. It has a nice weight to it, even without the additional weights they give you to put in the handles of the controller
