Absolute BEST dried soy strips
Absolute best dried soy strips I've ever had. NO weird aftertaste. I reconstitute 10 minutes in boiling water heavily flavored with chicken bouillon. Even the remaining liquid is delicious. These soy strips look and have both TEXTURE and taste that is excellent. After my first bite I couldn't stop having "just one more". Especially important to me is the ingredient list: Soy flour and water. I can use it in all my "chik'n" dishes (or keep snacking because they're that good). I imagine that by changing the broth I reconstitute them in to a beefier bouillon, I could easily make them taste like THAT. Versatility plus long shelf-life and excellent price point -- What's not to love? Not a paid endorsement - just a very happy customer.

handy and convenient, nice texture
I have been a vegetarian for 45 years- love to cook, make all kinds of things from scratch (including my own vegan seitan sausages). But how did it take so long for me to discover soy strips? I have used many different kinds of "designer" soy products. These soy strips are crazy easy. They only require soaking for maybe half an hour before use, and can be added in at the end of the cooking process. I initially tried soaking them in a flavored concoction, basically whatever sauce I was throwing together for that dish. But soon figured out that's way too much trouble and not necessary. Even when soaked in water, they still take on the flavors of the sauce. Good old reliable tofu! I don't have the stamina to stand in the kitchen for as long as I used to, so I appreciate that these make adding protein to a dish really easy. I will definitely order again and recommend you give them a try.

Great meat substitute
I love it. Cook it differently to get different flavors. For example, Use Indian spices and get a great goat curry substitute.

Great product! Delicious meat alternative!
Loved these. I normally get Butler soy curls, but decided to try these. I know, I should support a family business—but I was curious. I was not disappointed. Great rehydrated and used in soup, Asian dishes, or as the meat for a cheesesteak (using appropriate beef or chicken seasonings and herbs).

Good meat subsitute.
I had a recipe that called for dried soy curls, which I never heard of but thought I would try. They are easy to work with; just need to soak them for a few hours to soften them. I would prefer a smaller size but overall they were good tasting. I thought they would taste rubbery but they didn’t. They pick up the fb labor of whatever you are cooking. They are a great subsitute for meat. I have to look up more vegetarian recipes to use them in.

New Vegan Staple
WOW! I’m really surprised these aren’t more popular. This is such a good vegan chicken sub. I’m never buying expensive store bought frozen vegan chicken again. I like to rehydrate it with vegan chicken bouillon from the asian market and boiling water for about 30 minutes. Then I drain (or sip) the water and then squeeze out any excess. I toss with oil and whatever seasoning I’m going for and air fry for just a couple minutes. So good. Even if you accidentally overcook it, they just get crunchy and are still good. I’ve made like 4 meals with it and the bag doesn’t even look dented yet. Thank you so much for this product!!

Very good
Very good, I like them, they're some of my favorites. I can make many recipes that look like chicken.

More than you think
It seemed expensive for a 1 lb bag, but it is lasting me forever. It's actually a lot after re-hydration. The taste is pretty neutral, it's going to take on the flavor of whatever you season it with. Has a nice chewy texture. Be careful not to air fry too long or they turn into Soy chips!
