Well Designed WLED Controller With Smart Features
The MagWLED-1 has been a handy little board for my WLED projects. Whether I am working on LED ribbon, string lights, or matrix builds, this controller has made the setup process easier than dealing with a generic ESP board and figuring out the wiring myself. WLED comes pre-installed which means you can be up and running in minutes rather than fiddling with firmware flashing before you even start. The USB-C power delivery support is the standout feature here. Being able to power 12V LED strips directly from a USB-C source is genuinely useful and cuts down on the number of power bricks cluttering up a project. For smaller installations this alone makes the board worth a look. The Wago terminal block is a smart choice for the connection points. Way easier than soldering wires directly or fighting with screw terminals, and the connections feel secure once seated. The built in FET relay that drops current draw to 80mA when lights are off is a nice touch for any project that needs to stay efficient when idle. Build quality is impressive for a board at this size. The 4-layer PCB with ENIG gold plating, ESD protection circuits, and the 3A resettable fuse all show that some real thought went into making this a reliable piece of hardware rather than just the cheapest option that works. The mounting holes make installation into project enclosures simple. For anyone working with WLED projects who wants a polished controller that handles the details properly, this is a great choice. The USB-C power delivery alone makes it worth considering, and the rest of the features round out a board that punches above its size.

An Absolute Must-Have for Addressable LEDs
This ESP32 WLED controller is nothing short of a game-changer for anyone looking to add smart, dynamic lighting to their home. It's the perfect bridge to bring the power of Wi-Fi and the incredible WLED program to any addressable LED strip. โThe controller is super easy to set up and integrate with the WLED program, which is completely free and packed with features. You can control colors, effects, and brightness right from your phone or web browser. The ability to use this powerful and user-friendly software with standard addressable LED strips is what makes this product so excellent. The sheer number of built-in effects and the potential for customization is outstanding. This is a must-buy for any DIY lighting enthusiast.

Up and running instantly with no hassle
This is a fantastic WLED controller! A great design, with USB-C for power, because it will get you up and running instantly. I had never used WLED before, and I ordered this, two 32x8 LED matrix panels, and a 180-LED RGB string. Within about half an hour, I had WLED working with both panels connected as one big raster display, with the string lights also running as a second segment. Amazing! Now I'm using a coding agent to make a usermod. This WLED thing is a lot of fun if you have something simple that can get you running immediately, like this excellent little board. I expect to buy more of these.

Good device, meh wire connectors.
the push tabs for the power connections are garbage I broke a tab off hardly pressing down. I love the device it works well just have one wire that is irremovable.

The simplest and quickest way into WLED, HIGHLY recommend!
First WLED device I've ever had, and I specifically picked the MagWLED-1 because I wanted the power supply to be easy, and USB-PD support makes it so easy. I connected it right up to my tiny 20W Anker USB-C power brick (I only intended to use the 5V/3A/15W option for testing), and it powered right up, and I was able to follow the setup instructions with no problems at all, with Home Assistant immediately finding it and integrating it. I did end up having a little issue with it (entirely my fault/my doing), and so I emailed the support email address on their website, getting a quick response and excellent support. I couldn't be happier with it, and I will be purchasing MULTIPLE more for all the areas I know I just need short strips, and the device itself is TINY!

Excellent controllers!
I bought several of these for Burning Man and used them to run the lights on my bike, my backpack, and bikes for friends. I did put conformal coating on the electronics to help them survive the corrosive dust, and they all held up great. These are exactly what I want in a WLED controller! Easy mechanical interface, easy to wire, small, USB-C PD compatible, it's really excellent. Paired with a USB-C PD battery back you get long running, bright, durable, reusable, excellent lighting. I'm still using these on my bike to light me up on my commute. Great board you won't regret buying. I've been meaning to design something like this for myself, but I found this and it handles all the same elements that I would have put on my custom PCB design.

Excellent Product and Support!
This is a fantastic device from a great company. First, it makes working with WLED essentially plug and play with any of the common LED strips/rings/matrices, and is loaded with thoughtful features that make it incredibly easy to use for learning, prototyping, or even as a component in a final product. On top of that, customer support is astounding. The device that I received had an essentially minor defect: the SMD switch for selecting between 5V and 12V LED strips had fallen off the board and was loose in the anti-static bag. I didn't even notice this until after I had used the device with some 5V strips for a number of days, until I was ready to finalize my project with a larger power supply and some 12V LEDs. I undoubtedly could have simply jumpered the solder pads for the switch, but decided to reach out to the manufacturer for confirmation first. They responded less than a day later. The response was gracious and apologetic, and they immediately sent me a replacement unit, which arrived in a few days and in perfect condition. This kind of customer service alone makes it more than worth the few extra dollars the device costs, compared to the other choices out there.

Great device, easy to use, does what it says on the side of the tin
This is a super simple, super easy, compact WLED controller. Plug in a USB-C PD power supply (which are plentiful these days, mine's from Ikea!) and you can run your 5V or 12V LED strip. If you check the MagWLED-1 website or Printables, you'll find a 3D printable enclosure design which nicely protects this device. Having been interested in, but never really used, WLED before... this device is my first entry. And then I ordered 2 more. It took less than 5mn to go from box to functional, and most of that time was spent finding an LED strip in my box of junk. So if you're looking to get away from the pre-made products, or just want a really easy way to get into WLED - this is the device for you.
