Solid book
I did like the book overall. It gave a pretty in depth view to basic treehouse building with solid pictures and basic set up. I think I was hoping for more. I've already built a treehouse I live in full time and I feel like the hardware recommended in this book is for hobby builders. Which is probably what 99% of readers are looking for. Overall I think its the best book available for diy treehouse building

Great info, perfect for anyone who wants a backyard treehouse
As someone who loves building things with my own hands, I appreciate how well Dan lays out the art and approach of building treehouses. As an engineer, I appreciate the way he has laid out the basics of loads and design, especially the way he has included some illustrations of why conventional framing approaches don't always work for treehouses. Most of the other books I've seen on the subject tend to get lost in the aesthetics, focusing on unattainable tree mansions. After reading through this book, I feel like I've got the knowledge I need to tackle my own backyard treehouse project. Highly recommended.

Fun book for your treehouse book collection
Fun book for your treehouse book collection. An enjoyable read with a goof collection of tips and photographs. No treehouse book so far has been a true stand alone book and this one ins not either. It is however a great addition!

Really basic
Not a book to buy if you have any building experience at all. Info is super basic, and anything treehouse-specific is just stuff you can look up online anyhow. If you have never built anything before and don't know how to frame a wall or distribute weight on a beam/joist system, go ahead and buy this book. If you already know how to do that kind of thing, it's a waste of money.

Poche nozioni tecniche
Pensavo fosse un utile strumento per apprendere come costruire una casa sull'albero, ma purtroppo ci sono poche nozioni tecniche. Il libro รจ abbastanza piccolo. Peccato

Excellent introduction to safe and enduring treehouse construction
Great overview of how to approach treehouse construction with lots of technical tips for the newcomer. Sometimes a little light on details on exactly _how_ to do somethings, but these can be filled in through referenced videos or general information on house framing. A great place to start a treehouse adventure.

All prose and little details
The "plans" are just diagrams. You cannot use them to build a tree house. There are no measurements, no list of materials, few instructions. Not what I was hoping for.
