Great machine at a great value.
Very pleased with this purchase. Excelent physical condition. Very easy to set up with no problems. Added a 2 TB NVME ssd drive for more storage and Office 2024. This thing is really fast and super quiet. Highly recommend.

A little pricey for a renewed unit but a good unit
This is a good unit for renewed. It looks in good shape. I will say the keyboard and mouse that comes with it are very cheap and I don't expect them to last for a long time. It takes a little getting used to, but all in all the computer works as expected. Still running my old system until I can get this one to set up similar to my Windows 10 desktop.

Pay Attention and Take Ownership of What You are Buying and From Who
Two things to note, I don't often review products, and I specifically selected STG as the reseller given their positive reviews over the last 12 months, even though I paid $2.00 more and also had to wait an extra day or two for their shipping, it was well worth it. Not to sound harsh but we as consumers should take some responsibility of what we are purchasing are also specifically who is the reseller, especially when you are buying a refurbished item. You are generally always presented with the cheapest purchase option, that doesn’t mean it is your best option, especially when it comes to refurbished items like PC’s. Keep in mind, this is not a brand-new sparkly PC with a $2K price tag, in the best-case scenario, you are buying a 5-year-old PC, that hopefully was sitting on some drones desk in nice clean office environment, which has now depreciated and is being re-sold back into the mainstream consumer market. The most important part of this process is the cleaning up, reconfiguring and packaging of the PC from its previous life to now being in your most likely, home environment. STG did a great job of this, the PC was dust free inside, was in pristine condition and from what I can tell, they even put in a new battery on the motherboard (this is to keep the bios going when unplugged, it’s a small battery most people don’t even know exist). It was well packaged, included a very easy to follow single page guide to get Windows activated with Microsoft and they even included a keyboard and mouse for folks who might need it to get started. I will note that the PC itself only has 3 - Display Ports, I missed that in the description but that is on me, not an issue for most people so I just added an HDMI dongle. On a side note, yes, it does have plenty of USB ports, on the front and back, but also has the old school PS/2 style ports available for a mouse and keyboard for nostalgia's sake...ironically, I still have an old trackball mouse that would work on this thing lol. After getting Windows activated, I immediately added a 2TB NVME drive for the boot drive and cloned the original 1TB SSD through Acronis, which is free to use if you use a Western Digital drive. I then added a dual port 10GB SFP+ network card, an additional 3.5” SATA drive for more storage which I had sitting around, and then added two 16GB DDR4 RAM sticks to get it up to a total of 64GB of RAM. I could not find the exact ADATA ones that came with it, but I did match up the RAM’s speed, voltage and timings to make sure it would work, and it did. Also, I did update the BIOS and some other items from Dell’s website but most people will never need to do this, and in all honesty shouldn’t. I would recommend the RAM I bought but I honestly don't know if it is the same as what came in yours and it may do more harm than good. This is the first PC I have purchased in about 30 years, I have been building my own since I was a kid in the 90’s but I really just needed a decent PC I could RDP into, use as a management device for my network rack, and also serve as a VM host device using VirtualBox with an Ubuntu and Linux Mint VM. I know Dell is pretty solid when it comes to desktops like these, which are usually targeted at businesses, so my hope is that it just sits in my basement next to the network rack for another 5 years, if it is still running after that, it will just become a full blown linux box. This is a great little PC as is, but with a few upgrades can be a utility device like what I did, or a light little gaming rig assuming you upgrade the PSU or get a GPU that doesn't need a lot of space or power. Just understand, this is never going to be something you overclock or turn into a 4K 120fps gaming rig, it just doesn't have the space or backbone for it, nor was it ever intended to. It draws very little power, has a nice quiet case and does have WiFi and BT built in if you need it. Once again, I cannot say enough good things about STG, they did a great job and I would have no problems buying from them again. It was nice to see a seller actually take pride in what they sent, as always, it was the little things that made a big difference for the user/consumer experience!

Dell Optiplex 7070 Tower (renewed)
PC arrived clean (inside and out). Window 11 Pro was ready to install and had no issues with setup. It came with 32 GB of DRAM memory and 1 TB Solid State Drive (NVMe). Not sure who made either the DRAM or NVMe drive as neither Windows nor third party apps could identify the manufacturers of these devices. There's just a sticker on both that say's BTO (Build-to-Order?). Overall though I''m pretty happy with the price and performance of this PC.

I would call it used not renewed.
Fist the case is pretty scratched up. More that you would expect even from a used device. Luckily I notice the sound of loose competent in the case. I opened it and found 2 loose screws between the underside of the motherboard and the case. I wondered if the board may have been damaged by shorting and if it would even power up or boot. I choose the 32GB memory model but received only 16. I confirmed was was installed just to verify. I will be sending this back and buying new instead. Lesson learned.

Lots of computing horsepower for not a lot of $
Bought this computer to be able to stick with Windows after Win10 Support ended. great computer, plenty of power for digital recording and statistical modeling, mainly what I do with it. Already pretty powerful, but can take additional drives and RAM. I was able to just plug in the 1TB hard drive from my old computer, which contained all my saved ítems (docs, files, etc.). Very convenient! Price was very reasonable too.

Been just over 30 days and the PC is working well. No issues. Initially sent the wrong wi-fi (5 instead of 6) Contacted the seller, sent proof they sent the wrong one and finally received the correct one. All's good now.

The new computer saldom come with the DVD Slot. The one I chose have one on that 's what I really like. The speed of the computer is fast. One thing I don't like is the mouse "AQVIN" the same brand name of the keyboard. It is not "Dell" brand and it is not sensitive at all. I always have to find the cursor where is it now.
